Small details which make the difference
Reviewed By Peter CWhen travelling it is often very small details which make the difference and a number of the team did that little extra which made me feel very welcome. All the staff were very friendly and English was widely spoken I was staying on a business trip, most guest are holiday and the hotel had a very different feel at the weekend than during the week. The hotel is linked to the holiday inn resort and this is very family focused resort. There is a night club and casino on site. There is a wide choice of restaurants some were not open every night during my stay. the grand Bistro and Fuel Sport have some more European style food option. I had a sea view room over the pool was very spacious and the house keeping standard was very high. If you want a quieter room as a golf view or a room not over looking the pool. The hotel has everything you need it is 5 miles from a town so you will need a car if you want to get around the local area

Perhaps not as suitable for those who want a more exciting/younger international style of resort but definitely perfect for families with kids and a calm/quiet break.

There is broken glass on the beach

The facilities are very old and run down, there are gray and black on the walls, the water takes a while to heat up and the AC makes a lot of noise. The hotel's territory, gardens, and scenery in places can look nice, but generally, they look like they desperately need maintenance. The beach is very dirty and it does not appear as the hotel cleans it at all. I found literally broken pieces of glass on the beach, which is incredibly dangerous! Besides, the service was very bad, I have never been to a hotel where restaurant staff was being so rude, condescending, and disrespectful. The only nice member of staff who was incredibly nice and helpful throughout our stay was Miss Nhi, the customer service officer. Overall, if you are looking for a Vietnamese rustic styled resort, I recommend Victoria Resort or Anantara Resort in the next town Mui Ne. Otherwise, there are plenty of other beautiful up to date resorts in Ho Tram, so don't waste your time on this one.

Great restaurant, natural atmosphere, good service
Reviewed By Wanderer0996Well me and some of my Vietnamese friends decided to go to Ho Tram just to escape the heavy atmosphere of Covid-19 in the city after the lock down was lifted. It was supposed to be a day tour and end shortly. Thanks to a boat that was literally put on the side of the road that we noticed Sanctuary, and that boat lead to a complete surprise for that day, we went in for the restaurant, "Sea breeze" it was called (I like the fact that they notification board to show us with every bit of government notification of the pandemic, not many place has done that). Very unique atmostphere, the roof was all covered leaves to create a natural touch, renovation for the tables and chairs are needed though, they are a bit worn. The restaurant located right next to the river, needless to say it was amazing, you can see people doing Kayak, workers clearing up the bank, time was like completely stopped for a moment. My friends order a few Vietnamese dish, I was stunned with the Canh Chua w/ Cobia and the seafood fried rice which, absolutely phenomenal (I have lived in Vietnam for 4 years and other places usually over cooked the rice and make them dry), the rest of the food was very tasty as well. The waiter name Hung (If i remember correctly) was very attentive. I thought it was very funny and appreciated by the chef always poking out of the door to ask and see if we like the food or not, thanks chef, keep it up! There was a young chubby dude in blue shirt and glasses which I think doing customer service- I forgot his name- always remind the staffs to pay attention to every table and during guest check-in, shout out to him as well. The the green surrounding atmosphere always a plus to go with your lunch experience even though it was completely burning outside. Everything was perfect. Will definetely come back for a stay if I have the chance.
