Great value - Very close to Ski lift

Reviewed By Knichols78

This hotel offers a great deal including bed, breakfast, evening meal and ski pass. The food is very tasty, maybe a little too much cheese. The spa area is small but enough for relaxing after a days skiing.

Alpin Chalets

The thirteen low roof Alpin Chalets are perfectly nestled along the breathtaking mountain saddle of Germany’s highest mountain village. The surrounding peaks of the 1200 meter high mountain village seem to quietly watch over the traditional alpine architecture. Experience the Allgäu in our Alpin Chalets – the pearls of the Panoramahotel Oberjoch. Whether alone, with your partner or with friends – the traditionally built Alpin Chalets combined with modern but cozy interior design and outstanding services suit everybody’s needs and offer an unforgettable stay in the mountains.

Lanig Resort und Spa

Without Prejudice

Reviewed By stutt21

I value the frank and unbiased reviews in Trip Advisor and I should have heeded the comments of “esmerelda w” dated 27 February 2015. It appears nothing has changed in more than three years as the hotelier, Herr Lanig, makes Basil Fawlty look like the paragon of good manners and courtesy. In a service industry such as his, there is one golden rule :- THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT It is plain stupidity to engage in a confrontational discussion and argue back with an aggrieved client who is paying 300 € per night for the “privilege” of staying in his establishment. My wife queried 6 € per day charge for “Stornoschutz” (this translates as “Cancellation Cover”) with Herr Lanig. My wife who is German booked our accommodation by phone and this “option” was not mentioned. The written confirmation in German came to me and I failed to let my wife review the detailed terms and conditions. Genuine oversight. “Stornoschutz” is added by default unless you specifically instruct for it to be removed if you do not want it, ie you have to “opt out” instead of “opt in”. Addition of local taxes is normal but, never in over 40+ years of travel on business or on holiday around the world, has a hotelier come up with a more imaginative wheeze for “nickel and dime-ing” customers. To cut a long story short, Herr Lanig threw a tantrum and, instead of defusing the situation, said in a fit of pique “Well, if you are not happy, you can leave now and I will refund the rest of your stay”. So we packed our bags and walked out before breakfast. The hotel itself is nice enough, the food is good and the rooms are comfortable but the staff are very frosty and brusque which does not engender a relaxed atmosphere. There is an overall patronising and condescending attitude. For a supposedly “Luxus” (luxury) hotel there are a number of other shortcomings. 1 Erratic and painfully slow internet connection – Inexcusable these days. 2 The room did not have a fridge, desk to sit a laptop or tea/coffee making facilities. 3 Red crayon had been scrawled on the shower tiles by a previous (child) occupant and this had not been removed. This indicates a lack of diligence by the cleaners. 4 The communal areas have a sterile and lifeless ambience so much so we walked down to the nearby hotel, “Zum Alten Senn”, for a nightcap. 5 Eyes down at the feeding trough salad bar during dinner where the vultures are unable to wait their turn. 6 For the size of hotel/number of guests, the indoor pool is absurdly small – Little more than an enlarged jacuzzi to stand around and chat rather than swim seriously. 7 Cakes provided for afternoon tea but the cup of tea itself is billed to your account – Unbelievable. 8 Rude awakening by the church bells at 7.00am. This hotel is ideal for those who want to ponce around in a dressing gown all day and indulge in “wellness therapies” of questionable benefit. If not, take the advice of “esmerelda w” and (Quote) “Go elsewhere and save yourself from the bitter and nasty Lanig family”. PS Credit cards are still not accepted. PPS Herr Lanig, if you deign to read this review, do yourself a favour and go check-in to the Susom Surlej near St. Moritz for a few days. There you will learn the best practice for running a hotel and treating your guests.

Oberjoch - Familux Resort

Perfect Family hotel

Reviewed By Michiel V

This was the third stay in the hotel for our family and we will be returning next year again. Our kids, as well as we did, enjoyed every minute of it. The hotel and staff are truly amazing. Everything makes you feel spoilt. Kids are taken care of with love and the facilities are fantastic (room, buffet, kids-clubs, swimming pool, wellness). With the hotel shuttle you are on the slopes within minutes so you can enjoy your skiing.

Ok, wenn man Glück mit dem Zimmer hat

Reviewed By KnightSirKai

Reviewed By 441lenaf
