Perfect hotel for a stop before your holiday
Reviewed By BelgiumPatrickHotel very near to a cosy town center with lots of little restaurants, shopping center next door. Underground parking. Very friendly staff. Big and clean room. Because of corona the restaurant wasn't open for dinner, just for breakfast. Breakfast was ok, mouthmask and plastic gloves ofcourse. We will definitely book this hotel again as a stop on a long carjourney.

A nice stay
Reviewed By OnlilyThe surroundings of this monastery are very nice. We had a good experience sleeping one night here. The staff was very polite and helpful. The cleanliness and the silence of the environment called the attention and you can sleep in a comfortable bed. You don’t need to use an alarm clock to wake up because the church bells make this service. I didn’t give 5 stars because of the breakfast that has a bad service.

Warm welcome every time
Reviewed By RogPThis is a great family run hotel. We stop off 6 times a year on our travels across Europe and are always greeted warmly at reception. We have now stayed in a number of different rooms over the last few years and all are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good, with cereals,fresh joghurt, juices, fruit, cold meats, cheese and fresh local bread. Good range of teas, but a very fine coffee. Only a limited number of car parking spaces but the owners are very accommodating in moving their vehicles to make space for the weary traveller! Highly recommended.

Room is a little dated but it served the purpose. Lots of accessible power points which is unusual for an older hotel! Bathroom is small but the towel heater kept it warm easily.

Good, but not very good
Reviewed By Boris MIt is positive that the hotel is located near the city and close to a multitude of shops. There is also a bus stop nearby. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff are very friendly. The problem is thin walls, and a TV with only 9 programs only in German language. There is no mini bar and safe in the room. Breakfast is not bad, but there are missing some things that another hotel has, eg cut fruit or water. They have juices, coffee, milk ... but no regular water.

Gorgeous stylish room/studio. Spacious. Good powerful shower. Excellent seating for relaxation inside and out. Private garden bordering on lovely grounds...very nicely visually screened. Superb room service.... delicious modern German cuisine. Good organic beer and good choice of wines. Also by the glass. Good value. Good breakfast which we also chose to take in our room. Truly excellent staff... warm and friendly at all times even when very busy. Highly recommended and worthy of a detour. Disliked · The bed was much too soft for my taste...but expect many others don't share my taste for rock hard mattresses. Good pillows. Room very warm during the night. No larger window to open other than terrace doors.

Reviewed By J BHotel & restaurant Berghaus Sammüller is located at the Schafhof in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz. The hotel offers several types of rooms. On weekdays the restaurant is open until 22:30 (kitchen closes at 20:30) and on Sundays until 19:00 (kitchen closes at 18:30). German food defines its character. We came on a warm weekday in July and the terrace was rather busy, a good sign. The food was OK but nothing special and the beer was fine. Service is friendly and adequate. When you fancy a good glass and OK food, Berghaus Sammüller is the place for you. For fine dining you better go elsewhere.
