Reviewed By 846gillpWe booked this lodge as a stopover on the journey between Kampala and Kabale- my husband and I and my daughter and son in law and their one year old baby- and we were very pleasantly surprised. The gardens are pretty and the swimming pool is lovely. We were given a very friendly welcome and the staff were always helpful, especially with unloading and loading our truck with all our luggage. The bandas were pleasant and clean; the bed was large and comfortable and we were given lots of towels. We stayed there again on the way back. On both occasions the pool was perfectly clean and looked very inviting but it was the rainy season and not warm enough for a morning swim. There was some building work taking place but it didn’t intrude and the area is quiet. Overall we had a very positive experience, especially considering the modest prices. We saw our first Christmas tree on the terrace- a surprise in mid-November! I can imagine that it must be a lovely place on a sunny day to take the family for a swim.

Reviewed By DrewmatureHave stayed before but this time chose one with a balcony and view... very impressed. The bed is a double and the shower could hold 3. Wifi available in the bar bit not in room. There is a tv but programs depend on staff.

One of a kind in an out-of-the-way location
Reviewed By MJCT12I have stayed here 2 or 3 times per year for the last several years, and for being in the middle of a rural area of Uganda, it's pretty decent and modern, though considering its location, there may be the occasional glitch For example, one time there was no running water for about 24 hours. The staff wend out of their way to be helpful, e.g., bringing up containers of warm water. It's the only accommodation of its sort this far (about 20 miles/30 km) from Masaka. The staff is friendly and will do their best to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are huge and have lovely views of the countryside. Amenities include coffee/tea service and soap. The restaurant is ok, but don't expect everything on the menu to be available. Breakfast is included with the room. There is a reasonable WI-fi connection in the restaurant.

The only thing is that you need to climb a very large hill to get to the top which can be difficult for those who are not expecting it and with luggage. Decent pricing especially for all that you get. Comfy beds, hot showers and good service.

Reviewed By Mcgees4jcThis place is up high on a hill and has a constant cool breeze with beautiful views and sunsets. Everyday we hear and see exotic birds. The grounds are full of green plants, flowers and palm trees, hammocks, picnic tables and a fire pit. The suite is very cozy, comfortable and clean. We've been here for 3 weeks and love it! The staff is professional, kind and very helpful. The food is absolutely delicious! Richard is an amazing chef. The place is safe and secure with 2 guard dogs on duty 24/7 and a security guard on the night shift. We will be back for sure. Thank you to Wycliffe and Robin for a wonderful place to stay in Masaka, a home away from home.

Great hotel for passing through town
Reviewed By Luke DVery lovely staff, with a fun manager who makes you laugh. The rooms at great, and the food is okay as well. Beds are comfy, rooms are clean, and there is a good view of town from the balconies. Maybe add some fresh filter coffee for breakfast, then the hotel would be perfect!

We are running A backpackers campsite for the last 20 years in the out skirts of Masaka town.We offer accomodation in form of camping in large grounds Single rooms Doubles and Dormitory. we have resturant and a bar.We do have in door games and a pool table we do tours around Uganda with vans of four and 15 people We can be visited on.

Reviewed By jadevidler93In the countryside, beautiful views and amazing food. Joseph is extremely welcoming. It's a great place to come and relax. The hammocks are a highlight! Would definitely return, we were a large group and we all enjoyed our visit.
