Nice place as starting point of the Valbona Pass hike
Reviewed By CLMH_13I stayed one night with my husband at Margjeka. The owner, Janet, is very friendly and extremely helpful. She helped us with providing info about the winter trail to Theth, and arranging a local guide for that hike. The hotel is right at the start of the hiking trail which is perfect. The restaurant offers simpel but great food. The breakfast is fine.

BEST EXPERIENCE IN ALBANIA
Reviewed By Anja LStaying in in this place was the best experience we had in our travel in Albania. The host in open and kind, we felt we were home. The meals were delicious, home made and typical for this country. Arben, his wife and doughter are really something special, they welcome us in their home with arms wide spread. Warm, warm people. The room was clean and comfy, the house is situated in beautiful surroundings just beneath the mountains. Magical. Highly recommend this place.

Reviewed By HarryR140On a grassy plateau hugging the forested, snow capped Albanian Alps is a row of wooden chalets of Villas Jezerca. The setting is magical and serene. The accommodations are basic but comfortable. The home cooked, organically raised food is ample and delicious. A lovely place for exploring The Valbone region.

Fine but don’t expect a smile

Dinner a bit average - punctuated by pings of microwave and a couple of bones with almost no meat on them. Could do much better. Rooms are fine and wonderful views if on right side. Good bathrooms and all seemed very clean.

Really bad food
Reviewed By 154anakWe stayed one night and ate dinner here. The dinner was really bad and small. I do not recommend anyone to eat here. We had soup that was just flour, salad with cheese that had four really small pieces of cheese on it, very different from waht you het elsewhere in the country. Meat with potates my husband ordered was an eight of chicken breast and potatoes. Ofcourse bot enough. I wanted baked beans, but they ran out. We also ordere two spinach pies that were all dough, almost no sign of spinach. And the dough was bought, so left it. The only tastef thing was my little stuffed pepper that came on the table after we ate everything. We again ordered another salad just to be full. The lady serving was really kind, but that does not help if the food was awfull. Such a disappointment from what we got in Thethi: a real homemade meal, we were not able to finish with great variety of dishes, lots of cheese and vegetables and lamb. I do not recommed to eat here.

Reviewed By mrc282the guesthouse is located about 5-7 min drive from the center of Valbona village. it is at a very scenic spot with mountains as the backdrop the room rate includes breakfast, which is a huge spread. you can also have lunch for 8 euros or dinner for 10 euros . again there are a lot of food provided so you wont go hungry. the room is spacious, and bathroom is ensuite. it is also very clean. no outside shoes are permitted inside the building but house slippers are provided.

Reviewed By Hedgehog44This is a pleasant enough place to stay. Private car park, very pleasant helpful staff. We opted to eat elsewhere, not being enthused by the menu. Breakfast was not great - a previous party had emptied much of the table; cold fried eggs; some tasty but cold “fli”, awful coffee. Rooms nothing special. Very reasonable prices

Breathtaking Vistas and True Hospitality!
Reviewed By benrR3336HTAbsolutely amazing location above (way above) Bajram Curri with a breathtaking view and accessible to Valbona Valley. The hotel is owned and run by a family, and they are absolutely wonderful hosts! Geri, the son, is so attentive and always going the extra mile to make you feel at home. I ate all my dinners there, and the mother is an amazing cook. The best I've eaten in my time in Albania, and I've been here nearly two years. The beds were super comfortable as well, which is often where places fail. Getting there is a bit of an adventure, but it's worth it! I really felt relaxed and refreshed at the end of my stay.
