Naumi Studio Wellington

From a grand entrance on Dunlop Street, guests are transported into a sensory wonderland – from the grand bar in the heart of the hotel to the sumptuous lounge and the Parlour and lobby. These spaces all reflect the love story of Lady Naumi – the original custodian of the Naumi Hotel. Her portrait hangs proudly at reception. The hotel dazzles with the talents of New Zealand artists and designers. The large scale floral backdrop, created by Art Dep’t NZ, which is completely covered in gold leaf sits majestically behind reception, lying below are bespoke rugs created by artist Karl Maughan and flowing through to the lobby are our gigantic lighted floral sculpture by Angus Muir Designs. We warmly welcome you to take in your surrounds with a drink at the bar, or by dining at Lola Rouge or dream the day away in our pastel Parlour.

Great view and helpful staff!

Helpful staff at check-in. We had a great room with a view of the runway (especially good watching landings on a windy day!) We enjoyed drinks at the bar with friendly crew looking after us and an enjoyable dining experience later! Perfect to wake up in the morning and go to check-in without setting a foot outside!!

Will not stay here again

Reviewed By Alienstew

Have stayed at the Bolton 3 or 4 times in the past and it was OK, this time however a deterioration in service was obvious. A half drunk bottle of water left in the mini bar and no fresh replacement, not acceptable in the time of Covid. Cold showers in the morning, found that out too late to do anything about it. Cocktails at the bar sent back as undrinkable. Coffee and snack in the foyer lounge and was given the wrong food. On checking out I mentioned all this and was told "will leave a note for maintenance" Hopeless, this will be our last stay here Staff were pleasant enough but pooly trained, seemed to have no idea about service or customer satisfaction A waste of $300

Reliable all rounder with pleasant rooms and a good location.

When I'm travelling for work I usually choose to stay at the James Cook. It's reliable all round with good facilities, clean and pleasant rooms and nice friendly service. The price is about right for business trips and it's well located for central Wellington. It's also very good for conferences as has all the facilities required plus easy parking.

Disappointed before we even get there

Reviewed By laura m

We have had to change our plans and wanted to cancel one night of our booking - very disappointed that the hotel has automatically declined - "do something new new Zealand?" Sure but make sure you read the tiny print- won't recommend ibis for the lack of flexibility - disappointing to say the least. ( This change was trying to be made 6 weeks out - could understand if it was short notice)
