Great Stay on the Lake
Reviewed By andrewfX1291XWWe stayed at Ebner's Wadhof in August 2020. We are a family of four. Not knowing the area, and not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised. Although a big place, it has retained a family feel. Although we did not hear much English spoken by the guests, most of the staff spoke very good English with us. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The food was very good...and it was especially pleasant to eat on the patio in beautiful weather as the sun set over the lake. The kids pool was perfect...and we enjoyed swimming in the lake, paddle boarding, etc. Altogether, it was a great stay...my kids have been asking to go back.

Christmas market visit
Reviewed By PanpanEssexWe are regular visitors to the hotel so it goes without saying that we love it! As usual the staff were friendly helpful and efficient. We used Fuschl as a base for visiting the local xmas markets this time. The excellant local public transport makes visits as far away as Munich or Berchesgarten perfectly comfortable in a day at a reasonable cost. (check rail prices they can be variable). Berchesgarten in Bavaria was charming. Salzburg was of course excellent, bursting with markets, our favourite perhaps being the small one at mirabelle Platz. Visits to the markets in Hellbrun and St Wolfgang were made in the evening and were absolubtly stunning! The latter involves a ferry trip from Stroble or St Gilgan but is well worth the trouble. We visited Bad Ischl but found the xmas markets disapointing, mainly being confined to a selection of stallls in a large hall. As for the hotel, Philip is in charge of the kitchen and provides excellant dishes. We enjoy the traditional Austrian food but I am sure that more traditional English tastes would be accomodated. The rooms were as allways clean and pleasent and given the exceptioonaly mild weather (up to 18C) the balcony overlooking the lake was well used. Thak you to Roswitha, Peter, Philip, Stoya, Maxi, Luki and the other staff for a wonderful time.

Our Hotel Seewinkel and Seeschlössl enjoys an enviable location directly beside the lake Fuschl with a lovely view over the water and the mountains beyond. Hotel Seewinkel features a private beach with a sun bathing area, sunbeds and sunshades. Our guests can use our kajaks, kanus, pedal boat and Stand-Up-Paddle Boards fro free. Perfect combination of relaxing and active vacation
Reviewed By 606evajThis charming family run hotel is one of a kind. The setting is beautiful with a private beach and surrounded by majestic mountains. Rooms are clean and quiet. Food is delicious; especially the morning breakfast buffet has all local produce one could dream of. Adventure awaits on free e-bikes, kajaks and sailing trips just outside the door. There are great running and walking trails along the lake. The family that own and run the hotel gladly helps with the smallest of queries and make you feel very welcome. We are coming back!

Reviewed By Dreamer706159We have stayed in the Hotel with our 3 year old daughter and the Hotel made us feel very welcome and tried to take special attention to also serve the needs of our little one. (E.g. earlier dinner, lollypop at the end of the dinner, toys in the pool, etc.) The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The spa area has a direct access to a small terrace at the lake with the possibility to also take a bath in the lake itself. The restaurant is an excellent representation of the local kitchen and has a nice view over the lake with sunset panorama. The owners are a lovely family that is very engaged to allow you a nice and relaxing time out of your busy day to day schedule.

Reviewed By Davor007A smaller sister facility located next to a bigger family hotel. Dedicated to books-design comfortable and cosy. Check in is well organized in the main hotel, there is a large parking ground for the hotel guests, nice little sauna, rooms are comfortable with a balcony. Daily activities are organized in the bigger hotel but are also available in this hotel, all this can be read in the leaflets found on the notice board or on your breakfast table. Breakfast is served in the library, partly buffet style (bread, cereals, jams, fruits...), eggs, butter, coffee, tea, salami and cheese is brought to the table by the host(who is very cheerful and helpful...). During our stay it was my wife’s birthday so they prepared a special table for our breakfast, and she even got a little gift (a book of course since it is a bookhotel).

Wonderful Weekend
Reviewed By ChrisR0208We were here for a long weekend. The plan was to go around the Fuschlsee. The hotel is ideally located for this. Such a great area. The rooms are very nice. The family very kind. Great tips were always given. The Red Bull headquarters is definitely worth seeing. We also hiked to the Wolfgangsee. Return trip then, however, by bus. I would definitely come again.

Reviewed By johnandcidI had an outstanding stay at Haslgut. The gasthof is beautiful and in excellent condition. My stay was relaxed and comfortable. My room was clean, comfortable and serviced daily. Petra was an accommodating host and served wonderful European breakfasts to suit tastes and desires. The families young daughters even helped out welcoming me and showing me my room. Thanks, Petra, for a great stay. I will look to see you again on my next stay in Fuschl am See!
