Very Interesting Hotel
Reviewed By CaptainC63This was my 4th. Stay here and once more I got new and spectacular room. This rooms design was once more unique with some lovely touches but also some oddities. The hotel is showing its age which all the bright colours can't hide any more. Breakfast is ok but not above average, the staff are also ok but once more not above average. Would I stay here again, yes I would as its better than the other hotel I've tried in Euskirchen.

Reviewed By chibakunI have been coming to this hotel since it was inaugurated a decade ago and I am appalled by how the quality of the personnel has declined. Lately staff can hardly speak decent English, make sure to never smile and to forget each and every singe thing they are asked: hair dryer, preferences or iron. A real pity.

Nice place to stay for a business travel
Reviewed By Daniel83HLittle Hotel in the heart of Euskirchen. Big , quite rooms . A little bit old but abolutly ok for one or 2 nights. Rooms are clean and where cleaned daily. Breakfast is fantastic for this price. The bar is good for one drink or 2 .Service is very good and friendly. Resraurants food is tasty as well.

Decent pension-style Hotel
Reviewed By Wiggo22This is a family-run hotel near the centre of Euskirschen, perhaps more of a pension. It’s relatively small – I’d say under a dozen rooms. Mine was of a decent size, very clean but slightly dated. The bathroom was small, but functional. The wifi was good. Please note that the owners spoke only limited English, which is unusual in these times when it’s every nation’s second language. That wasn’t a problem, since they were friendly and anxious to help. Breakfast was great. The coffee was fresh and good, the continental buffet decent, and with gorgeous, freshly-cooked omelettes handed out in quantity. The only slight downside, which is hardly the hotel’s fault, is that the town of Euskirschen is small, boring and provincial. Getting back late from work, I struggled to find anywhere to eat. Other business travellers might prefer a bog-standard chain 4-star. That aside, I’d definitely stay there again: I thought it was excellent value for money. Big Tip: the price on internet sites was much higher than I got from a simple e-mail to the hotel.

Uniquely Wonderful
Reviewed By WodjerSpent 3 nights at this amazing place. Wonderful room overlooking the gardens and moat. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. A wonderful breakfast - more than enough to eat. Wonderful hosts and staff who made sure our every need was taken care of. Car is essential for this place, but it is perfectly centred in the area - Bonn was 20 mins away. The towns around are beautiful. Round route to the Eifel region is simple too.

Nice hotel with friendly staff
Reviewed By MortenschjotzOn our way to France, we stayed in the hotel Concordia, which was a pleasant experience. Rooms were clean and spacious, and staff was very friendly. The breakfast menu was well prepared, and the staff attentive. Being only a short walk to the city centre, we can absolutely recommend the hotel if you happen to be in Euskirchen.

A wonderful experience in a quiet suburb
Reviewed By NielKnightOn a solo motorbike tour of Europe, I chose Em Dorfkrug completely at random. I do that sometimes and I've found some gems - Em Dorfkrug is such a gem. My room was very clean and tidy. The little touches convinced me the hostess wants guests to feel very welcome; the fancy work with the towels and the little sweets left out. On meeting the host, I was given a brief tour of the amenities by the very nice lady and left to my own devices (the accommodation is not staffed). All the info I got was all I needed: room, key, bar next door opens at 5pm. With some time to spare, I took a short ride around the area (for bikers, there are some nice roads out this way). After freshening up on my return, I walked a few paces to the bar. There I met some new friends for life for the night. What a great night! After a few drinks, we all got hungry and shared pizzas at the bar. The memory makes me want to go back there. I probably will. I was pleasantly suprised by my room. The bed was very comfortable and the shower fantastic. Everything was very clean and tidy. My room was one of 3 (I think) on the ground floor. Whlist booking, I was under the impression that all rooms had shared facilties. I was delighted to find I had an ensuite room. I will be sure to ask for the same room when I visit again. It is no exaggeration to say this place was one of the highlights of my 12 day trip. I felt so welcome at the accommodation and the bar next door. Incidentally, this is in a suburb of the Bonn/Cologne district, but could be a million miles away. A wonderful experience.

Reviewed By Byron DWir wunderten uns schon beim Reingehen, das keiner etwas zum Essen hatte, sondern nur etwas trank. Wir bestellten extra aus der Tageskarte Kohlroulade und Rinderroulade. Die Rinderroulade kam aus der Mikrowelle. Knochenhart, klein und verbrannt, ein Löffel dickliche Soße und der Rotkohl, sowie die Kartoffeln lauwarm aus der Mikro. Die Kohlroulade war eiskalt in Mitte, der Rest lauwarm aus der Mikro. Wir haben umgehend das Essen zurückgehen lassen. Den angeboten Schnaps haben wir dankend abgelehnt, bezahlten die Getränke und gingen dann ins Poseidon top Essen. Jeder Kantinenkoch kann besser kochen als das Küchenteam der Alten Posthalterei. Schade um die schöne Location. Uns sehen sie nicht wieder!
