Reviewed By MohnomisheWe’ve stayed at a few Proteas around southern Africa and the Ndola branch definitely ranks among the top. The entire hotel complex has a modern, airy style, with a small but nice pool area at the back. Rooms are spacious with all expected amenites. Being a family of four we had two rooms with an interleading door - perfect for us. Breakfast had pretty much everything you can ask far. Wifi was good throughout the premises. Staff generally kind and helpful. Top notch!

Reviewed By ChipunguStayed for two nights and the room was comfortable though on the smaller side. The bathroom only has a shower and not the best for bathtub lovers like me. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good. In the morning it is difficult to have extra sleep as the curtains allow light to come through. On the overall I will definitely be returning.

The bar is well stocked and the services are world class. The rates are fair for the service though many locals find them too high. Best place enjoyed our two night stay.

Affordable choice in Kitwe
Reviewed By davestlyHotels are expensive in Kitwe. Pamo Hotel is a cheaper option. In its favour, the room I had was good, large, clean with a good bed. It had a decent shower and was pretty quiet. The wifi was poor/intermittent. It is difficult to make the room completely dark at night because of the lights outside and one wall being glass. Food at the bar/restaurant was good if you like Indian (I do). Breakfast (English fried) was also pretty good. There is secure parking in the hotel compound. There is a small pool, but it did not look clean.

Good facilities, but not a good location
Reviewed By NatashaLegacyThe place is clean, staff are friendly. The bed was comfortable, room was spacious, had air conditioning and hot water for the shower. The free WiFi also has decent speed. Unfortunately the place is located by the roadside, a route that is used by trucks, each time a truck hit a pothole, the sound was loud and frightening. It was hard to get good sleep with such constant disturbances. The breakfast was brought to my room, but didn't enjoy it, wasn't well prepared. Another downside was that the telephone in the room wasn't connected, so I had to keep going down the stairs of I needed help with anything.

Chabanga lodge... so disappointing
Reviewed By sherolf2020Stayed over for a night with my husband last weekend and was really shocked at the level of service..upon arriving at about 13h00 we were told that our room wasn't ready... check in time is at 10h00!! The surrounding areas had not been cleaned up from the previous day... bottles and glasses lying around the bar area. then we decided to have a drink at the bar while waiting but we were told that the person in charge was in chingola with the key!!! We had to go all the way to town to buy something to drink and sat outside with not a single person enquiring about our needs or anything! The bar was finally opened after a long wait and the lady in charge never even offered one drink! We asked for some dstv music but she totally ignored the request...disappeared and left us to listen to loud local music videos. We then decided to book dinner which took more than an hour to prepare since there was no salad and it had to be bought first... the food was satisfactory. The next morning we tried to have coffee in the room but there was no milk or coffee so we settled for black tea! We then proceeded to order breakfast which is included in the accommodation rate...there were no cups and sugar at the serving station so i asked for some which again took half an hour...again we waited for about an hour just to receive 2 eggs.. half a Russian sausage.. 2 tbs baked beans and white bread because there's no butter for toast!!! How ridiculous. I left with a heavy heart because I live within walking distance and had hoped that it's a place I could visit again.. but that won't be happening. I don't understand the lack of service since there were many staff mmembers around... I suppose just waiting for their salaries at the end of the month... Chabanga is a lovely place and has lots of potential and I hope the owners will do something about the problems and change what's happening. No one has any pride and joy in what they're doing!!!
