Reviewed By Bodil LQuaint and quiet ....... beautiful northern part of Martinique.We enjoyed fantastic hiking, both easy and challenging.Plenty of sunsets and less than 5 minutes to great black sand beach. Don't expect bustling city accesses.That is what we wanted away from.Tante Arlette is a gem.Fantastic food ....really nice rooms ..best bathrooms ever! But don't go with assumption that they speak english.That was a struggle. They need to remove the english speaking sign out front Not true ! Love it here.

Reviewed By ejmonkeyThe property grounds were nice. The pool was also small but clean and inviting (it was cold for me but refreshing). However, check in was complicated because we couldn't bring our heavy luggage down all the winding stairs and paths. We ended up leaving the luggage in the car and that was very uncomfortable and all our belongings were all over the car after fishing out the items for the night-no safe in the room. The bed was the worst of the 3 hotels we stayed at in Martinique. The room was sufficient but not very much water pressure. I requested a sea view for a celebration and it was there but obstructed. We checked out after 1 night. There was one restaurant in Tartane that was welcoming and the others just weren't because they were all booked. So food is hard to find. The sea is really nice and the hiking awesome. This hotel is probably rated high for back packers. There was a nice younger man at the desk who tried to help with translating to English as our French is limited (I tried to study it but lost it in stressful situations). There is a property cat who is really sweet.

Reviewed By Cynthia DWe chose this hotel due to the location on the island, being close to the beach and having a pool. We were pleased we the quality for the price. The rooms are like little cabanas with individual entrances. The rooms are dated and our room (room with garden view with 1 bed) was small but they have everything you need. The kitchenettes are actually outside (covered) which was nice because then you are not cooking in your room. We ended up cooking all our meals and eating outdoors which was nice. There is a large Carrefour Market grocery store a short drive from the hotel. We arrived after hours and they had left the keys and all the information we needed for us. There was no parking when we arrived but you can park on the street in the area. The hotel itself is very quiet - even though the rooms were fully booked when were we there - we didn't notice. If you need to contact the hotel, I would suggest to do so by phone instead of email. A week prior to check in we had tried to contact the hotel via Expedia message and ao via email directly t but did not receive any response. We then tried by phone and reached them right away and they were very helpful. The nicest beach we found in the area was Anse l'Etang which is a short drive and highly recommend it. There are no beach towels offered by the hotel so would recommend bringing your own. I would stay at this hotel again.

Quiet and comfortable
Reviewed By Rutrahstayed there 4 nights in one of the apartments in a bungalow. we ate all dinners and breakfast there and one lunch. place has a lot of charm with old furniture nice garden etc. Our apartment had a bedroom, bathroom, inside a sitting area where we put the table and I used to work (decent wifi). large outdoor terrasse with a mini kitchen we used to read and for sitting, drinks etc. spectacular view of the ocean in the distance Pool is nice but not huge with plenty of shade loungers etc... The restaurant is operated by the daughter of the hotel owner. Food is good and service adequate. very nice people. Breakfast was good lots of fruits, croissants, etc... OÙne can drive to many places around this side of the island. we are putting this hotel on the shortlist of 6 to 8 places worldwide where we will return for good rest plain good comfort and good service

Reviewed By NortienRose-Marie et Georges nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Ce sont des hôtes cinq étoiles ! Ils sont présents pour donner des conseils, faire découvrir ce qu'ils aiment. On se sent tout de suite à l'aise en leur compagnie. La maison est au cœur de la végétation. Les lieux sont propres. Nous avons également pu rencontrer sur place d'autres voyageurs. Nous conseillons fortement cet hébergement à qui ne souhaite pas résider dans un lieu trop touristique et qui veut avoir le confort nécessaire à petit prix. Il est préférable d'avoir un véhicule pour se déplacer, ce qui était notre cas. Donc, n'hésitez pas ! Vous pourrez faire une belle rencontre, celle de deux personnes très généreuses. Merci encore Rose-Marie et Georges pour votre accueil et votre belle surprise. Nous en garderons un excellent souvenir. Nora et Sébastien

Merci aux propriétaires pour cet accueil chaleureux et cette attention au quotidien que vous nous avez offert. Nous avons profité de notre grande terrasse avec une vue mer incroyable sur toute la Caravelle. Et que dire de cette grande piscine dans laquelle notre fils a passé des heures. Merci pour la promenade au coeur du domaine et de nous avoir fait découvrir cette belle végétation et culture propres à la Martinique. C’est vrai qu’on arrive dans un immense hôtel reconverti en résidence hôtelière dont les studios sont en vente sur Le Bon Coin. Acces par boîtes à clé, donc pas de contact. Très peu occupé, piscines vides, parties communes vides. Mais bon, notre studio était plutôt confortable, cuisinette sur le balcon un peu vielliotte. On ne regrette pas .

Reviewed By 83dadouoneDessous de villa trop humide. Environnement en travaux, escalier dangereux, place de parking inadapté et climatisation très bruyante. Joris est très convivial mais ça ne compense pas les manques. Ces locations conviennent à une clientèle à la recherche d'un prix et sont prêts à considérer sur le confort et l'environnement. Le site est trompeur avec des photos qui n'ont rien à voir avec l'environnement.

Mais car il y a un "mais", contrairement à ce qui était annoncé, il n'y avait pas d'internet dans les logements; il fallait aller près du logement du propriétaire pour capter quelque chose. Nous avons eu un logement très bruyant car on entendait tout ce qui se passait dans le logement d'à côté. Sinon, les logements sont très bien équipé; il y a vraiment un effort à ce niveau. L'endroit est assez commode pour une visite du centre de l'île.
