Basic but great
Reviewed By Hanka DThe hotel itself is very basic, but clean. We really enjoyed the terrace and tea made by our host, who was very kind and helpful. The breakfest on the terrace was a great pleasure too. The very best place to start the Toubkal trail. There is no mobile conecction or wifi, but I see it as an advantage too, a great place to disconnect (and if you really need, you can walk down to the river and catch some signal).

Trekking hotel close to heaven
Reviewed By David HWe really enjoyed this mountain hotel close to heaven. Perfect for trekkers, bird watchers. We were two couples. The service is friendly and breakfasts hearty. Views from the terraces are stunning. Bring warm pyjamas and indoor slippers. Wi-Fi is OK in most parts of the hotel. Showers can be a bit chilly. This is an adventure. We love this place.

Mountain Toubkal Lodge is a small comfortable guest house located in the heart of the Toubkal National Park, the village of Aremd. Owned by a Berber family living for many centuries in the Moroccan High Atlas. The house offers comfortable accommodation, clean and cheaper restaurant - the Moroccan family is also able to give you a taste original dishes of the region of Ait Mizan.

Reviewed By BasemA226I stayed here longer than originally planned for good reason. The views, the tranquility, the hospitality, everything was spot on. I arrived at lunchtime and was treated to some Goat/rice and salad which i had sat on the terrace over looking Mt Toubkal. Quite special..Hassan was a great host, always there to help whether it be for directions/organising a guide, preparing Tea and any other information i needed. He's also the chef there and i don't think I had a better Tagine in Morocco than his. You must stay here if you're coming to Mt Toubkal!!!

We had a great time hiking in the Atlas with Abdul. He took us on trails where we encountered few tourists and saw the most amazing sites. He was able to answer all our questions and taught us quite a few things about Imlil, the mountains, and Morocco. Lonehobo's review really captures the essence of our experience. If you need a guide, seek him out.

Reviewed By Hoosier_Travel_NutI stayed here as part of a G Adventures tour of Morocco. This family owned mountain gite is an incredible experience. Rooms/bathrooms are shared but that didn't take away from the hospitality of this place. The food served was amazing and being in the middle of such natural beauty made for a great stay. We were only here 1 night, but I will always remember this place. Give it a try if you are in the Imlil area.

I have total confidence in this family with whom I discover each trip and safely authentic Morocco and Berber culture. Their family team is perfect, devoted and attentive. He knows the area and is capable of flexibility. Their fabulous food and impeccable hygiene.
