A good hostel but with a big BUT...
Reviewed By PallebrunKviberg is a great hostel when it comes to how clean it is, the standard, good bed, breakfast etc. Me and my friend had a room with our own bathroom and it was very clean and good. But.. they don't seem to have any rules when it should be quiet, or people just don't care.. we had neighbors in the room next door.. young people.. the first night they came "home" at around 01.30am.. talking loud, laughing and then having sex, everything very loudly. No sleep for us... The next day everything was good, until around 03.30am.. the laughing, screaming and laudness was keeping us awake untill it was time to go up. And this day we had to drive home for 12h.. not the best start... There were more who didn't get any sleep. They were talking about it at the breakfast. This is just ridiculous. This is a hostel for party folks, not for people who want to relax. Just stay far away from this hostel if you intend to relax and have a good night sleep.

Centrally situated hostel in a lively part of Goteborg, with a wide choice of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Good communications and within walking distance to a lot of sights. The hostel offers single- double- and family rooms, as well as dormitories and apartments. We are the only hostel open 24 hours/day.(Wintertime closed 1-6 am) We are certificated for our environmental policy. We offer free high speed WiFi, stationary computers with internet and free movies every evening.
Comfortable public environment
Reviewed By jas4foodI booked online and paid in the counter at night. As I went to Sweden with three more friends, we booked a four people room without washroom. There were two double beds in the room. It provided a socket for each bed, so, you could charge your phone on bed. But, there was a little bit bad smell in the room. We needes to open the window to get some fresh air from outside. The kitchen was nice. We could cook our meal with lots of utensils there.

Great hostel for a group tour
Reviewed By 369magnushWent there with a group of 18 teens, and we had a great stay. Self-check-in worked fine, the rooms were good. Nice and clean hostel, very helpful staff. Just a few minutes walk from the store, and from Universeum.

Not the Ritz, but served its purpose
Reviewed By Lars B HThey called me on beforehand to advise on the code for entering the building, and the choose a fourdigit code based on various revolutions ! Nice touch ! Extremely small room with a sink, loo and shower in the hall. I was one of four guests and the only male, so getting a shower in the morning did not require a wait. Reasonable price and value for money, smack on the harbour with late evening sun pouring ino the room !

Reviewed By AstridM1179We had an excellent stay. Hosts were very kind and helpful, they gave excellent recommendations to discover Bohuslan. The breakfast was delicious. Beautiful sunset nearby the home. Rooms and shared bathrooms were clean.

Was looking to stay at this hotel but the massive refugee inhabitants have taken over the hotel charm
Reviewed By worldtraveller784After arriving at the hotel grounds, it resembled a refugee shelter more than the quaint hotel that it had previously been famous for. Masses of Syrians, Afghans and so on, standing around outside intimidating passers by. How can an owner take in these people and self sabotage their own business in this way? I will never stay here again and will tell others of my experience also.

Sjotorps Vandrarhem & Rum is a nice place in centre of Sjotorp. A particular attraction for the visitors to the area is the Gota Canal, of which the Vastergotland section starts at Sjotorp. Hostel (3 rooms) Youth hostel 20 kilometers north of Mariestad, by the Gota Canal. Shower and toilet in the corridor. Open all year round. Hotel standard (7 rooms) The same house has also double rooms with hotel standard with bed linen and breakfast buffet included in the price and where every room has its own toilet and shower. The breakfast buffet is served in the nearby guest house.

Reviewed By jeanchristophed813Nice hostel, clean, spacious and well maintained rooms. Small but functional kitchen available to cook your own food. Great breakfast at nearby Kajutan. The place is managed with lots of enthusiasm and love. Definitely recommend this place for your tour along the Göta Kanal.

Reviewed By Soma HNo communication from the ownership whatsoever about where/how to check in to our rooms Water system is very dirty and loud Not to mention the shady guests who were constantly banging on the wall and whose kids kept on crying for hours. Oh, and the fire alarm went off at 3AM and nobody, except my roommate and I started to act on the situation. Itslike people don't even care here.This place is borderline comical.

Hostel Roddaren erbjuder enkla rum med trägolv, TV och egen toalett. Dusch delas med andra gäster. Som gäst kan du laga enklare måltider i det gemensamma köket. Här finns även en tvättstuga. Du hittar båtar till Kosteröarna 800 meter bort. Erlandseröds välupplysta jogging- och längdskidspår ligger 3,5 km från Roddaren Hostel. Strömstad Golfklubb ligger inom 10 minuters bilresa härifrån. Vi talar ditt språk!

Reviewed By sandernbouwmanIt took the no so helpful 'hosts' of this hostel approximately 7 hours to give us the promised sheets. We had to ring them three times to come over and bring it. The double room had a toilet, but no paper. The mattress of the double bed was worn out in the middle. No information about checking out. On the upside: free washing machine and dryer, warm showers (shared). Only slightly cheaper than a hotel room in Strömstad, but much lower service level. If ever in Strömstad, we will not book this again.
