Manager made up a new "law" and threw me out, refused to be civil
Reviewed By Jamesthenry2017Hostel managers in Russia range from the absolutely lovely to the laughably unfriendly, but this one was by far the worst out of two years of travelling in this country. She refused to accommodate me, coming up with a "law" that if I haven't registered my visa for three days, no one can register it any longer. I said that I know the law well enough and it doesn't require any further registration if I stay in a new city less than a week. Three days, she shouted. Even if it were so, I said, I only stayed two days in Moscow and there's no problem. She said that if they register me, they will get a huge fine. I told her that I understand their concern, and asked kindly if they could call another hostel and ask if there's a free room, seeing as I had no Internet connection, no sim card and it was freezing outside. She flew into a rage and screamed that no one will help me any more, I broke the law. I walked to another hostel, where the staff accommodated me happily and said that they would register my visa if needed, that is, if I stay longer than seven days. I suggest avoiding ID Hotel & Hostel if you don't want to find yourself in the street with your accommodation declined. Their behaviour is ridiculous, considering that you might even have spent three days on the train if you're coming from a further part of Russia, and the extra hostility was completely out of proportion. I speak fluent Russian, and I cannot see how you would even communicate with her otherwise.

Great central hostel
Reviewed By Amanda BMaxi house was such a nice hostel. It was clean, spacious, and the staff were so amazing. They were helpful finding banks/restaurants, and were a quick, effortless check in. I arrived early from the airport and they did not hesitate to let me have a bed. The kitchen and rooms are Great, and the whole place is colourful with a nice design.

Perfectly clean and chill place.
Reviewed By Sneaky NUsually you don't want to spend time in hostel while travelling, this hostel is an exception to the rule. Wish I could stay here for a couple nights more. It's superiorly clean, not a single guest was loud, staff is polite and friendly, so there's not even a single thing to be considered as a con. And beds, yeah, those are making you fall asleep even if you don't really want to.
