Overall was good, but very unfriendly staff

Reviewed By Richardooi

The first impression of the hotel is good. The hotel located at 2nd floor of the building, below is a restaurant and dance studio/gym above. We rented the 4 bed dormitory room with windows, it's pretty small the room but overall was good, with small USB fan and light on each cubicle. However, one problem is that the bed is next to the windows and windows opening are right above the restaurant signboard, it's pretty dirty with dirt and molds. The window will not be open as dusts will fly into the beds we slept, and the room is stuffy as there is no air flow, so we requested a fan from the hotel reception. The receptionist was very unpleasant and unhappy to help-out, and mentioned that other dormitory room is the same as well. We were rejected until the third time, unwillingly the receptionist borrow us a small table fan. From that moment, they were very unfriendly and even we smile towards them. Their attitude is changing, and luckily we stayed for one night. I would recommend if they are more helpful and friendly.

Strategic Location

Reviewed By Jennyf00

It was really convenient location with limited parking space. I have tried few restaurant on the same row and the best is Hong Kong Restaurant which is located below this hotel. We stayed at first floor, the water dispenser was located nearby my room. They also provided hair dryer, cups and mini sofa besides the balcony (for Deluxe Room). You might want to request for higher floor if your room have balcony.

Basic amenities are there

Reviewed By SafNazli

With the price that we paid, the small room had all the basic amenities like comfy beds, clean bathroom, TV with only one channel available (rtm1) and 3 clothes hangers. Would have been better if there was space to put our things like a cupboard or at least more hangers. There was only 1 available pin plug in the room so we had to unplug the table lamp in order tl use the other plug. All in all a comfortable stay.

Good value for money

I have booked a quart room with private bathroom with RM 134 ( inclu tax.). It is on the 4th floor (the highest). It comes with 2 Queen beds with 4 towels and soap. There is Astro but for limited channels only. The location is great, at the centre on Brinchang. There are a lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Just the parking is limited due to a lot of hotels nearby. But still can park at old night market there. Bear remind that the weekend night market has moved to Golden Hills. So the market showed there is only for morning market (pasar tani).

Xcape Resort Taman Negara

A great jungle experience in a new location

Reviewed By clarkes_in_asia

Firstly be aware that the location has changed. Xcape is now at the old Han Rainforest resort, about 100m down the road from the old place. The accommodation is now all in terraced rooms not chalets but there is a outside seating area and a lot of open space in the complex to spend time in- although no swimming pool. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was unexpectedly tasty! The dinner buffet always had meat, vegetables, egg and rice with cake and fruits to follow. We booked all of our tours with them and had a great time, the package is excellent value for money although I would advise against the night safari as there is little to see from the back of a vehicle. Hopefully the night walk will be allowed again soon. Thank you Xcape for your hospitality.

Nice place and breeze

Reviewed By Fatimah Nur M

This is my 1st time being here. The place is nice, good accommodation, toilet is clean and near to the room. Nice river just in front of the room. full of activities to join. The workers are very nice and helpful. With the price you can get 4 times of food started with lunch after check-in, high-tea, dinner and breakfast (before check out). The foods are awesome. No times to feel hungry at all at Tanah Aina Farrah Soraya.

I’m really happy I stayed here! The guesthouse is quite interesting and picturesque, and the owners make you feel at home and as part of the family. There is a bonfire at night, really good tips for Indian food and 6 dogs that will keep you company and protect you. If you want a beautiful and quiet place to rest and chill, this is perfect!

I just came back from Tioman Island and stayed 4 nights in the Tioman House Bungalows. The room was conveniently located next to B&J Diving Centre where I was diving, had hot water for the shower and A/C. The room was basic but had everything I needed including a small refrigerator facilities for coffee. There is also a small café which served very good food and was reasonably priced. The Tioman House Bungalows is very good value for the money. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend them.

Mat Leon Village

Perfect! EcoTourism at it´s best - Love this place

Reviewed By Kathi F

We love this place! The Mat Leon Village is a real family business run by Mat Leon since 13 years. We have been looking for the perfect nature experience and found it there. We stayed there for 3 nights and it was just perfect. The Mat Leon village is a 10 minutes’ walk from the commercial village away, it´s quiet and in the middle of nature. The Rooms are simple, but lovely and clean. The restaurant has awesome Malaysian dishes, it was so delicious we ate three times the day there. You have a lovely view over the river, the chicken chasing each other around the village and you can even jump in the river. Maybe you will be lucky to spot a leopard on the other side of the riverbank. We did the nighttour and the tour to the observation tower in the middle of the national park. Both was excellent. Each time we got Mat Leon as our Guide and he was fantastic! We felt save and have been impressed by all his knowledge. Both tours are a must-do! If we come back to Malaysia we will definitely stay at Mat Leon Village again. Who looks for an ECO-Acommondation at it´s best, you will find it a Mat Leons Village
