Lower Saxony (German: Niedersachsen [ˈniːdɐzaksn̩], Low German: Neddersassen) is a German state (Land) situated in northwestern Germany. It is the second largest state by land area, with 47,624 square kilometres (18,388 sq mi), and fourth largest in population (7.9 million) among the sixteen Länder federated as the Federal Republic of Germany. Wow. These ruins are beautiful, filled with sad history. Wonderful memorial of the past Germany since the 12th century. Great location within the center of the city

Having enjoyed a really interesting guided tour of Middle Age Lüneburg we eventually reached the old crane where students were shown how it worked.

Location for a wedding. Beautiful building in the old town. Traffic free but with good access. Building was well adapted to multi-use and had what looked like a good eating place under an atrium.
