The 10 best Condos in Sardinia, Italy

April 27, 2023 Vergie Nakamoto

The second-largest island in Mediterranean after Sicily, Sardinia serves up a lovely blend of sea, sand and history. Thousands of nuraghe (stone buildings) dot the landscape, proof that people have been enjoying the lovely climate here for millennia. From posh Costa Smerelda in the north to medieval Alghero in the northwest to the lively capital of Cagliari in the south, and with many picturesque towns and unspoiled sandy beaches in between, Sardinia’s got a little something for everyone.

Residence Green Village Resort Villasimius

Not worth it

Reviewed By sergiobuonanno

The resort is a 3 star and it honestly doesn’t deserve more. The staff is really kind (with the exception of the director that behaved really impolitely in one occasion with other guests for really futile matters). The swimming pool is not always clean (late in the afternoon is almost always fool of dead insects) and the small house we were accommodated needed maintenance (toilet paper support broken, wc seat poorly fixed) not speaking about the boiler, so small that 2 or 3 of us had to take cold showers every day. It was clearly undersized for 5-6 guests. The bushes around the house needed to be trimmed and we had an invasion of ants. The air conditioner was almost useless during the hottest days and the tiles of the terrace in front of the house are of such a poor quality that they become really slippery when wet and in fact I fell and needed medication after I cleaned the surface to get rid of the ants. We travelled in 6 and they gave us 1 beach umbrella and 2 sun beds in a very narrow and overcrowded beach… a couple of times near the garbage bins… with a few garbage bags of the previous day that nobody had disposed around us …. and there is no parking that belongs to the resort (even if the travel agency stated they have some), you have to find a spot on the public street… not always an easy task.

The Hangover

I stayed in Lu Nibareddu for my high school graduation travel and it was beautiful. Perfect place to relax and have fun with other people. I will always remember this place for I had one of the best week of my life here. The only bad news is that it’s far from the sea.

This is a 2 star hotel at best

Reviewed By Robbo332

No facilities worth mentioning apart from the pool. Good level of cleanliness and most staff are friendly though not at all helpful, I've never been told no so many times in a hotel ever, and all I'm asking for is things like a coffee past 10am or a coca cola in the night (not room service as this is non existent anyway, just trying to buy one I can literally see with my eyes and still being told no) Final straw for me was the hotel making you leave your bag at the entrance at dinner like I'm in some hostel in Cambodia. I wonder if they are taking responsibility for anything that goes missing, my guess is no. WIFI IS A LIE THERE IS NO WIFI OR 3G ON YOUR PHONE All in all a thoroughly bog standard experience akin to a hostel or 2 start establishment. I would hazard a guess that literally every hotel on the island is nicer than this. TV in room doesnt work And this beach village hotel is a 20 minute rocky walk to the beach including a descent down a cliff basically!!

Bad service and bad fish

Reviewed By Odyssey18790849347

I would not recommend at all! The service was very unproffesional (everything took really long and they brought the first portion 30min before the other two portions!). The fish was really bad as well, and the dish didn't contain what we were told it will contain. The prawns tasted like old or not cleaned. And the prices are inappropriately high.

Relais Villa Carola

Wonderful in every way.

Reviewed By Barrie W

This is our second time we have stayed here at Villa Carola and it will certainly not be our last. Stefania and her team Gian Mario, Riccardo and Chiara are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they make for a wonderful atmosphere. We stayed this time in an apartment villa with decent sized kitchen which gave us the flexibility to cook in (there are excellent supermarkets close by) or eat out at one of the nearby restaurants you can walk to. Villa Carola is immaculately presented inside and out and in these covid times it is important to us to stay at a location that is cleaned intensely daily. The room was spacious, tastefully appointed with a private terrace to dine alfresco plus easy parking off road. The breakfast menu is excellent with lots of choice and variety. The hotel is located close to beaches that rival the carribean as well as some nice bars to enjoy drinks of an evening on foot. Thank you for a wonderful season, see you next year!

Great just too many additional costs

Reviewed By SupertrampF

looks nice, the small pool is a nice plus at the end of a long day at the beach, similar at the pictures so can very much advise for families but while i completely understand the need to pay more to use the bbq, i feel it is exaggerated to ask as well 30 euros a week for the washing machine.. the baby coat was also 30 euros a stay (while free in other places we usually stay), bref a lot of additional costs that didn't seem so obvious when booking...

Covid exploiters

We have been trying to cancel our trip for 3 months now, ever since our country basically closed all non-essential travel. The hotel is not even responding to any of our requests to cancel. They have had enough time to rebook the hotel room to Europeans who are free to travel, but have chosen to ignore our request to refund or even give a credit while they most probably will rent out the rooms anyway as they seem to be pretty full. I hope karma will catch up with them.

Such a bad experience!

Reviewed By MamboM77

Very appalling experience. The air-conditioner was leaking, the towels old and broken, rusty shower, bed sheets and blankets very consumed and not cleaned. We showed the owner (the son’s owner actually) the problems incurred but he basically didn’t care and answered very impolitely. He only told us few lies about the fact that the air-conditioning is “normally” leaking on your head and on the floor cause it’s hot outside, he added that the towels were “mistakenly” added to our rooms (same things are reported in other reviews..) etc. Attention because they have cats that enter the building! My wife is allergic.. We ran away only after the first night because we did not want to sleep in the car but the next day we found another accommodation. Unfortunately we anticipated the whole money when we booked and of course the owner refused to at least refund one night for the inconveniences. The only positive things are the outside garden, well maintained for the cats lovers, the fact that they offer a car park inside the property and the proximity to the old town.
