Not a great apartment

Reviewed By 247LiveLife

The apartment was very spacious, BUT, the bedroom literally only had 2 beds and a wardrobe, no tales or chairs. We had booked 2 single beds, but only had 2 bed, which we had to request be separated! The pillows are very flat, and hardly served their purpose The lounge was not comfortable as we used the settee as a bed, but no other chairs to sit on.

Residence Due Torri

Lovely accommodation with stunning views

Reviewed By AshleyLeteta24

I stayed here with my sister for 4 days on the coast and we had a great experience at the residence. The staff were super helpful assisting us on the phone prior to arriving with arranging transport from the train station in Salerno, and upon arrival we had a smooth check in. Our room was clean and functional, with adequate amenities. Only negative was that we had a corner suite, which had great views, but the wifi only worked in the room if you sat at the very edge of the table near the door (did not work in main area of suite/bedroom).

Hotel Residence Belvedere

Residence Belvedere welcomes you for a stay in a magical landmark of the Cilento Coast. On the hill dominating the Gulf of Velia, between Paestum and Capo Palinuro, immersed among the characteristic secular olive trees of the Cilento and Diano National Park. Only 500 mt from the sea and 300 mt from the center of the village and the railway station. The magnificent hill and the panoramic position of the complex allow you to enjoy a favorable natural climate even during warmer periods. Several relaxing areas, the pool and water slides, magically set in the green scenery, ensure a quiet and relaxing family getaway. A natural spring feeds the red fish pond near the children's playground.

Beautifui place

Reviewed By vassilka

We stayed at Residence Belvedere for 4 days in mid-June. It was beautiful: a beautiful and peaceful location, surrounded by greenery, only 5 minutes walk from the center of Ascea. We stayed in a Quadri F for 6 people, equipped with all comforts and with a splendid sea view. Note the cleanliness and care in small details not only inside the appointment, but also in outdoor spaces. My grandchildren enjoyed the water slides and the pool! It was a stay organized in an excellent manner with transport to and from the beach. The owners and staff extremely kind, helpful and always smiling. Thank you very much!

Dream weekend high up in Castellabate

Reviewed By Navigate662456

Part of me wishes I could keep this corner of Castellabate a secret so it doesn't become clogged with tourists, but I feel duty bound to tell others how much we loved it. We spent 3 nights in the Soffitta Blu (the blue loft), under the eaves of this wonderful old palazzo. The blue loft has a compact kitchen that closes up into what almost looks like a wardrobe, but it works. Wonderful bed. There's another one upstairs, but we didn't need it and didn't make the climb. The views out the windows toward the Mediterranean are stunning, and you're at the height where the birds fly. The suite is comfortable and lovingly appointed. It's a surprise to find AC in a historic building, and a real relief after hot summer days spent exploring the coast. We were lucky to find a parking spot just outside the front door, and we spent many hours sipping coffee or aperitifs and reading our books at a table in the charming and shady piazzetta (small piazza), where the soft breeze and the tempo of life makes you never want to leave. Communication with Monica was immediate, friendly and clear. And Adele took great care of us onsite.

Spring Break Salerno

Reviewed By levinoscar

Very confusion initially trying to find Andrei and his residence room. We eventually found him like half an hour later and got to the room and stayed for two nights. We hiked at one of Salerno's interesting trail to get to the mountains to see two towns. It was cool. Despite the roads being terrible like 1 - 1.5 car space driving to get to his place driving up hill majority of the time, finding his place and the stay was good. It was clean and peaceful as well in a small village. I enjoyed the stay for the two nights.

La Caravella di Positano, Residence

A historical home which, since the early Nineteen Hundred, gave hospitality to families and artists of the time during summer, La Caravella is still today an enchanting Residence for an unforgettable holiday in Amalfi Coast. Situated on the famous beach "Spiaggia Grande" of Positano, the holiday villa La Caravella is the ideal place for a dream vacation in total relaxation. The holiday residence has 12 comfortable apartments overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea, ideal locations for a summer holiday at sea but also for a romantic holiday during autumn or winter. The apartments are few steps from the sea and from the old town centre of Positano, where there are so many characteristic shops where you can spend your moments dedicated to shopping.

location, location, location

If you are coming to Positano via the ferry, this is a great location. If you are coming by land, you will need to walk quite a distance from the nearest drop off. There is no parking for your vehicle. Luckily, we decided to take a train from Rome to Salerno and then the ferry. It ended up being more economical than renting a car, and much less stressful. The hotel check-in was a little odd. A woman was waiting to meet us at the front of the hotel. When we arrived, she checked our names on her list and then we walked down to her office in the basement. After we paid, she handed us a key and that was it. So, a little odd, but relatively seamless. The apartment is older, but it was clean. Beds are hard, but that seems pretty standard or Italy. We stayed in the 1 bedroom sea view, which had a huge balcony. It had four beds in one place which was what we wanted for our family, and was very hard to find anything else like it in Positano. The shower is small and has very little water pressure. The temperature also seemed inconsistent, but it did the job. It has a mini kitchen in a closet that we did not use, other than to store some drinks and snacks in the fridge, but it was nice to have. No coffee maker, that would have been nice, so we had to go out for coffee. Up the strip there is a nice little cafe, called Positano Paradise which makes a really good cappuccino and has nice pastries. I was super impressed that one of the guys that worked there remembered my order the second day I went there. The hotel is right on the beach and has it's own beach chairs. It's right on the strip, which seems like the place to be in Positano, which was great. We didn't use/pay extra for the wifi because I bought the airalo app before we left, which worked awesome the whole time we were in Italy. I'd recommend it to other travellers too ($16USD for 10GB for up to 30 days). If I were ever so lucky to return to Positano I'd stay here again with my family. The extra room was nicer than staying in most shoe closet rooms where you just have a bed. If it was just me and husband, I might look at other places to see what else is around for a cheaper price. You do pay more for the extra space. A comfier bed and better shower pressure would turn this into a five star for me.

Residence Torre Paradiso

Not suitable for a long stay

Reviewed By Sophie W

There was party of 4 of us so we had an apartment with a kitchenette and a hotel-style room. Both rooms were spacious enough and we were lucky to get a sea view. Free safety deposit boxes in both rooms and free air conditioning was great. The location of Torre Paradiso is great as it's just few minutes walk into town and around a ten minute walk to the beach. However, neither rooms had a balcony, therefore we had nowhere to dry out beach towels or washing so had buy some string from a hardware store and make a washing line. By day 3/4 we realised that we hadn't had any fresh towels so we went to the sister hotel (Villa Romana) to ask about maid service. We were told that there was no maid service at Torre Paradiso and that any laundry service would be at an extra charge. This is outrageous and disgusting considering we were staying for 11 days, were already paying 20 euros a day to use the hotel's car park and that nowhere on their website did it state that there was no maid service. On expressing our disappointment we were given fresh towels. A few days later we noticed that the rooms were starting to get dirty. We did have a pan but no brush! So we voiced our concern to the Villa Romana reception and asked if we could have our rooms cleaned and some clean bedding. We were initially told that this would not be possible as we were staying at the apartments and not in the hotel. The reception staff managed to contact the manager who was then able to sort out our rooms to be cleaned. So over the 11 days that we were there we had our towels changed twice and bedding changed once with the rooms cleaned once also. Had we have only stayed for a couple of nights no cleaning service would have been fine but for nearly 2 weeks this is disgusting and unacceptable. The hotel need to clearly state that there is no maid service at Torre Paradiso so that others aren't disappointed.
