Leamington Spa's Outstanding Live Theatre Company. The Loft Theatre Company has been producing live theatre in Leamington Spa since 1922. Professional standards are our goal as we work to bring variety and the very best in community-based theatre to Leamington Spa, to Warwickshire and to our wider audience beyond. The company has earned a strong reputation nationally for the professional quality of productions. It is run almost entirely by volunteers, many of whom have theatrical or academic drama qualifications and experience, who devote their talent, time and energy to the theatre simply because they find it fulfilling. Each year we produce around nine shows in the main 200 seat auditorium and a smaller number in the 50 seat Douglas Ford studio theatre. Our work covers the range of theatrical styles from classical to modern, tragedy to comedy, farce and musical theatre. Whether you like to be shocked, enlightened or simply entertained, you will find something for you here.
The Loft is a super little theatre run by volunteers and supporters of the arts. The volunteers are charming and run a small bar with tea and coffee on offer also. My daughter was acting in Dangerous Liaisons which was extremely entertaining and the dedication of these amateur dramatics is commendable.

The Attic Theatre is the No.1 fringe theatre in Stratford upon Avon and home to award-winning 'Tread the Boards' Theatre Company. In 2016 we begin the year with Romeo & Juliet, the only Shakespearean play being performed in Stratford during the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death. First established in 2009 by Tread the Boards, an award winning theatre Company. This unique, riverside theatre is located in the heart of Shakespeares' birth town. This unique space is housed in a Grade 2 listed 15th century building and seats just 89 people. This makes for a very personal and intimate theatrical experience.
My wife and I went to Stratford for an afternoon in the sunshine this afternoon and whilst having lunch at Cox's yard bar we passed the box office for the Attic Theatre. We decided to go and see the show, and it was a great decision. The acting was really good and the production was excellent from start to finish. It followed the traditional treasure Island storyline but with a good dose of humour gently added. There were jokes for the whole family. Other people took children of all ages and they seemed to be loving it as much as we did. I would thoroughly recommend to everyone who enjoys fringe theatre productions. We will look out for other productions from this great theatre company. Thank you to the whole team involved.

The Bear Pit Theatre is Stratford-upon-Avon’s first and only ‘little’ theatre in heart of Shakespeare’s historic Warwickshire town. We produce our own production under the banner of The Bear Pit Theatre Company but we also welcome other community theatre groups to hire our venue throughout the year. Our venue has a 100 seat auditorium and boast a relaxing Cafe Bar, accessible toilets and baby changing facilities. Parking is adjacent to the venue and is a 5 minute walk from the Royal Shakespeare Company.
We went to the Beat Pit Theatre yesterday to see one part of the Norman Conquests trilogy by Alan Ayckbourn. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The well-written play was superbly acted - professional standard performances by amateur actors. We are seeing the other two parts of the trilogy tonight and tomorrow night. [The only thing we don't like about the theatre is its name.]

We create theatre at its best, made in Stratford-upon-Avon and shared around the world. We perform Shakespeare’s plays, as well as works by Shakespeare’s contemporaries and plays by today’s writers. We want as many people as possible to be able to access theatre at its best, so we bring our work to the widest possible audience.
Well worth booking the discovery ticket you get a really good tour behind the scenes of both the RSC theatre and the Swan, the guide is excellent in his portrait of backstage life, you can really appreciate all the work that is put in for each performance. The tower is worth a visit go up in the lift but walk dow the stairwell the portraits of famous actors going back in time is well worth the walk down. All the staff are friendly and helpful a very enjoyable place to visit

I have never seen this play before, but the manner of the performance will certainly make me keep an eye out for it again, if for no other reason than to contrast with this performance. Having a female King John and Cardinal added to the story and the battles portrayed in different styles was charming. Would recommend to anyone who has a love for Shakespeare.

Absolutely brilliant! The wonderful Graziano from Strictly Come Dancing and his dance group gave a fabulous evening of exciting dances to international standards, with lots of fantastic costume changes. Great value for money. A memorable night out.
