....An amazing night at ROFL! Me and the hubby attended the World One Liner Championships last night and had a brilliant night of top notch comedy and laughter. A variety of comedians all with their own personality and style of delivery. We, the audience, got to vote on each one in order to determine the winner who won the World One Liner Championship Belt. It was full on laughter from start to finish and I have to mention Cokey, the resident MC who was soooo funny too!

The Dick Whittington A Rock ‘N’ Roll Panto was fantastic! It was my first pantomime and I was told not to expect much. I was so impressed!! All the cast members were extremely talented, dancing, singing and even playing multiple instruments. The show went by so fast because every act had our attention. The Stafford Gatehouse Theatre hosts so many good acts. It’s a great venue. There isn’t a bad seat in the building. We will definitely be back.

We visited for the first time to see a French farce - which was brilliant. The theatre is well laid out with well raked seats meaning no heads in the way! The bar is well stocked and the area around it is open and pleasant. The weekday free parking (limited) was a bonus, even if it was next door in the college car park - weekends is only £1, bargain! Ignore the negative reports - this is a lovely place.

Last night we went to see Blyth Spirit and I have to say it was wonderful, the cast were fantastic as was the set and all the staff. Friendly welcome as soon as we walked in, when Elvera walked on set it was like watching the original film (one of my top ten favourites) she had all the character of Kay Hammond
