The 10 best Campgrounds in Veneto, Italy

April 27, 2023 Jasper Kershner

One of Italy’s most visited regions, Veneto in the country’s northeast was independent for centuries until 1797, when Napoleon invaded. It then bounced among French, Austrian and Italian domination. Bordered by some of Europe’s most beautiful elements (the Adriatic Sea to its east, Lake Garda to its west, the Dolomites to its north, and the Po River to its south), Veneto is known for agriculturally rich valleys flowing down from Alps and for important cities like Venice, Verona and Padua.

Spent a few very relaxing days here. Beach, restaurant and supermarket are on site and easily accessible. The children loved it. We were able to do everything on foot or by bike. Easy to drive to. Looking forward to our next visit.

This is a very good option for a budget holidays in Firenze. The houses are nice and clean and modern. Plus there is the option to have the car next to the house. The only drawback is the lack of Wifi and the very poor internet reception. The distance to the center of the city is ok.

Perfect holiday with toddler

Reviewed By ciaramcwilliams22

First time staying in campsite and had an idea of perfect holiday with toddler in tow and this lived up to expectations . Bungalow was well design , good AC, had everything you needed right down to tea towels . Its the small details that make a holiday go smoothly . The beach is on door step and as its a mature site the sandpark was shaded part of the day which was perfect for keeping children out of the sun all day . All facilities including pool are immaculate and staff are lovely and cant do enough to help you . From highly attentive lifeguard who not only managed safety , but I watched him go above and beyond to try and help teach numerous children water skills. Everyone we encountered was so helpful . lots of restaurants within walking distance and snack bar on site . we will 100% be back . holidays are very personal experiences and expectations but for us , its was 100% perfect

Lovely grounds & nice quiet site.

Reviewed By victoriaa492

We stayed here for a couple of nights. The grounds are beautifully kept, it’s got a lovely feel about it. The swimming pool was very clean, you need a swimming cap (sold in the shop for €2 if you don’t have your own) and it’s open between 1-7pm. A little shop on site has lots of essentials, ideally take cash as you have to spend €10+ if paying by card. You need cash for the bus tickets from them too. The accommodation was clean and the air con was handy. The toilet block was clean and the showers were really good.

The same ferry service also connects Fusina to Lido of Venice.

Helpful lovely staff, fantastic food in the restaurants, trees everywhere. Friendly vibe

Reviewed By Christine B

I visited with my 82 year old mum. I had booked a chalet with no cooking facilities. On arrival I realised it was a bit small for the two of us and the camp staff helped us to upgrade and move to a more spacious chalet with cooking facilities. The quality of the chalets was excellent. We could see ships passing by on the lagoon from the veranda. The staff were lovely. We had problems with accessing special assistance on our flight with Jet 2 and Robbie/yn helped me print the form and scan it to my mum's gp. She could not have been more helpful. The site was beautiful. Trees everywhere and plenty of shade if needed. We were a bit disappointed that the pool did not open until the beginning of June so we missed it. Also no sunbeds until the last few days of our stay. All in all I gave Camping Fusina five-stars because the staff are lovely and go out of there way to help people. The food at the restaurants is great. The veggie pizza was the best we had tasted. The vibe of the camp site is laid back, friendly and international. It is a beautiful 20 minute ferry ride into Venice. ... a wonderful way to arrive there. We would love to go back. Thanks in particular to Robbie. She was great!

Idyllic!

Reviewed By estaburgess

This place is special, off the main road so it’s pretty quiet, we could hear nightingales, nightjars and cuckoos singing! It’s shady in most places due to the beautiful surrounding olive trees & the toilets & showers are clean. There is the option of breakfast- yummy homemade croissants made by the lovely Federica. She was so kind, helpful and welcoming It is a 10 min to the lakeside & nearest beach & 20 min walk to the local village of Castelletto. We highly recommend and hope to return again and stay longer as were only there 2 nights on route to Greece. Not long enough!

Loved this camping!

Reviewed By fleur1228

Absolutely loved this camping. Since we love camping, but I am pregnant, we were looking for a camping with an alternative to a tent. We found this perfect combination at Agricampeggio Mose. We stayed in a caravan with a charming look and comfort, a regular bed (2 bedrooms), AC, kitchenette, and a fridge. Absolutely perfect. It is a very quiet and cozy campingX the staff is very nice and likes to make you feel welcome. The bathrooms looked fine, a little outdated, but spacious. The food they served in the camping restaurant was really nice and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The beach is a 10-minute bike ride from the camping, you can rent bikes on site. Venice is a 30-minute boat ride away. Would definitely come back again and would rent the caravan again, with kids, being pregnant, or just whenever I want to go to Venice.

We already had way better

Reviewed By 530tamasg

Positive; - The camping is at a nice location - some Mobilehomes, like some Natur types has a nice view on the lake. The mobile hones are new but ours was not as clean as we expected (spider net for eg) Negative - Animation is very weak, for 10+ it does not exists, forget it. - The only supermarket is like a money robbery, 100g ham is 5 Euro!! and it closes from 12:30-16:00. Additionally it has an extremely weak choice. - We expected way more, from the restaurant, and had such experience in Italy. No grilled fish or anything grilled, only pasta and Pizza. We found it moderately expensive, a pasta with garlic with some hot pepper is 9,00 Euro and not enough for a 14 years old. The choice is generally very weak. - No table tennis but only a football pitch and a valley ball pitch under the sun at the reception - no trash containers in the camp, one needs to walk 80-100 out of the camp (??), I have never seen anything like this My real note would be rather 2,5 and not 3
