Reviewed By samj337Very friendly staff that recognised me from my two night stay 3 years ago! A nice pool if a little cold in October with quiet seating areas around with different places to hide out if you go looking. The food here is great as well with a smashing breakfast.

A perfect Oasis
Reviewed By 174dorothywI had the opportunity to stay at the Chez Ali in February of 2020 and was overly impressed with the service and hospitality I recieved. The cleanliness of my room and the congeniality of the hosts made this a memorable experience. I was surprised each evening with the creativity of the menus and the presentation of our meals. The food was fantastic and I have even come home to re-create the chicken tagine. I especially enjoyed the quiet gardens and basking by the pool. The water was a bit cold, but the ambience of the colourful floral bouquets took away the stress of the day. The location of the hotel was also very convenient. We were able to walk downtown and enjoy refreshments and people watching each evening. I would recommend this hotel in an instant!!

Really excellent stay during Covid 19 Lockdown
Reviewed By NTF12By chance we were at Dar Necklar when Morocco introduced their State of Emergency and lock-down. We had intended to stay a few nights and ended up staying three and a half months! Brahim, the Manager, and his staff were extremely helpful and efficient. They cleaned the establishment daily to a very high standard. The hotel is very comfortable and tastefully furnished in a mixture of French and Moroccan styles. The garden is peaceful and well laid out. The hotels location, in the Palmeria, is superb and we were able to enjoy many different walks from the property. Thank you very much. Tom and Erica Farrow.

Exquisite Experience - Lovely Location and Wonderful Staff
Reviewed By Marianna MMy husband and I stayed at the Azalai Lodge for our honeymoon in early May, 2022. We stayed 2 nights at the lodge and 1 night at the Desert Camp. The Desert Camp was perfectly sandwiched between two leisurly days at the Lodge, resting, reading, sunbathing, and enjoying some of the best cuisines from Morocco. Needless to say, our time with Azalai was perfect. It's a natural setting that feels like a home away from home. The lodge is perfectly tucked away and encapsulated by a sea of palmgroves in southern Morocco. You can pass the day sunbathing by the pool, reading under a palm, biking through the small town, or exploring one of the many Kasbahs in the Zagora area. We opted for the rest and the food, and we couldn't be more content with our equisite experience with the Azalai staff. Shukran!

Each corner and room has a special feeling to it . The amazing staff make you feel at home immediately . We were pampered and looked after in a very special and discreet way. Ma Villa du Sahara is a unique place and we are looking forward to our next visit .

The rooms were clean, comfortable and air conditioned, and the pool and the upstairs patio and dinners made the experience all the more enjoyable! And I must not forget the delicious breakfast every morning! Brahim and his team went out of their way to make every minute of my stay a perfect one. I am already looking forward to my next visit.

Riad Marrat is a small boutique resort located in one of the last palmeries to be found just before you reach the desert. Located in the tiny village of Amezerou just a short distance from the main town of Zagora. Built in traditional Riad design you enter the resort through gigantic wooden doors to an oasis of palms, gardens and a large azure blue pool. Stepping inside the property itself takes you back to a time where you might expect a visit from Aladdin himself. Accommodation provides 7 large double bedrooms, two on the ground floor and 5 on the upper level. The upper level allows all guests to also enjoy panoramic views across to the desert and surrounding Draa Valley area from the typical rooftop terrace. Decor displays thick carpets, cushions, Moroccan tiles and Gips plaster work. A salon for relaxing, and watching TV. Free Wi Fi keeps you connected. Full dining facilities inside, al fresco in the garden terrace or go local in the amazing full size Berber tent.

Reviewed By majdab2021We were a group of students, who visited zagora for a school project, found that karim sahara is one of the nicest and affordable hotel in zagora, Located in the city center We could check in to our rooms early thanks to the friendly host who offered us cups of tea at an early time, The rooms were very cozy and clean, also calm, We were amazed by how the host was nice and helpful, he helped us to choose where to go what to eat and what to visit in zagora, also suggested to go see his bivouac which was exactly amazing in the middle of the desert He was very kind to the point he arranged for us a tour with affordable prices Our stay was extremely great and i would never forget it thanks to the kindness of the host and the people there in general ??
