Reviewed By Simona IBasic rooms, but clean. Quiet place. Very polite staff, always ready to help. Good food: they even cooked our catch of the day! Excellent location: 3 minutes walking from a beautiful beach, where you can do jet sky, canoe, paddle or fishing on a pirogue. Taxi station very close by.

Reviewed By Richie DThree friends and I shared an apartment here. We were on a lower budget than most in Saly, so we ruled out the many all inclusive hotels in the surrounding area. The rooms were perfectly clean and had all the listed amenities, except for the wifi and TV. The beach is very pretty and the supermarket is a short walk away. There are a fair amount of traders hassling you on the beach, but they are moved along soon enough by the guards. Saly center is a fair walk away, however. We walked across the beach early evening which was picturesque, but on the way back (around 1am) we were stopped by police and had to pay a fine/bribe.

Quiet beach without vendors and excellent sea food
Reviewed By TravelRound3We stayed here the whole day - most of the time alone - only with a few fishermen. Very friendly staff ! You can relax for free in the transats and pay only for your consumtion. Its like a little oasis - in only a few hundert meters distance the touristic nightmare begins.

Best food in Saly!!!
Reviewed By GoG8orsI am working in Senegal and my work allows me to come to Saly for weekends. I have stayed at several different hotels including Le Mbaila. The food at Mbaila is incredible. Better than any higher end resort. Fresh, great service. Even if you are staying somewhere else walk the beach and come here for lunch or dinner. It is great.

A very pleasent stay
Reviewed By anncathrines2018While spending two weeks at a drumming workshop in Saint Louis we had missed out that we needed to have a covidtest before transiting in Brussels on our way home. We had to change our fligt to the following evening and find out were we could get a covidtest on a Sathurday. With the help of very helpful staff at Brussel airlines and other staff at the airport we ended up booking rooms att Baobad Soleil in Sindia that sent a very nice small bus to pick us up at the airport. Arriving at the hotel very late we were greeted by friendly Ami who presented us with beautiful rooms and served us a good meal in the middle of the night. The following morning we had a very nice breakfast and after that the hotel arranged our transport to the clinic in Mbour so that we could do the test. The transport waited for us and took us back to the hotel where we enjoyed spending the day in the sun by the pool. We had a good late lunch before heading back to the airport. Our stay at Baoubab Soleil was a very positive experience and we hope to come back and stay there again if we are in need of accomodation close to the airport outside Dakar in the future.
