Reviewed By BerndLesoineVery nice and tidy rooms. Close to the shores of Casamance-River. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Breakfast was gorgeous, apart from the artificial (no-)orange juice. Only cash-payment accepted (Euro or CFA) . You get the best price booking directly with the hotel. Good african food at the restaurant.

Situé en Casamance, en front de mer, le Kibalaou est une maison d’hôtes, à la végétation luxuriante, immergée en plein cœur d’un parc naturel exceptionnel, qui s'ouvre sur une plage vierge de plus de 20km. Le Kibalaou est géré toute l’année par Alioune et Seynabou, qui vous accueillent et mettent tout en oeuvre pour que votre séjour soit le plus agréable et inoubliable possible. Le Kibalaou dispose de 6 chambres doubles confortables, décorées de manière sobre et authentique. Chaque chambre est équipée d’un lit double (lit enfant possible), d’étagères et tables de nuit ainsi que d’une salle de bain privative (douche, lavabo et toilettes). Si les chambres ne sont pas alimentées en eau chaude, il est possible de vous faire chauffer une bassine d’eau. Les draps et couettes sont fournis. Le ménage est effectué par nos soins deux fois par semaine. Un service de blanchisserie vous sera proposé. Le petit déjeuner est servi au bar des dunes en front de mer, le déjeuner et diner sont servis sur la terrasse en coquillé qui bénéficie également d’une vue exceptionnelle sur la plage. Au petit déjeuner, nous vous proposons thé, café, fruits, pain frais et miel récolté dans la brousse. Pour le déjeuner et diner, nous proposons des plats traditionnels, pour l’essentiel réalisés à base de poissons (lotte, capitaine, dorade pêchés le jour même), de riz et légumes, et crudités. Beautiful gardens Unpleasant Landlady
Reviewed By DonalC986The room was ok. I was more or less the only one staying but only stayed three or four nights. The grounds and gardens were perfect, manicured down to the last leaf! The lady who was the wife of the European owner, who was absent, was something between indifferent and unpleasant. I got out as quickly as I could. The only mitigation factor might be that business was bad. I often judge a place by the atmosphere among the staff: strained smiles and little camaraderie!

Helpful staff and comfortable rooms
Reviewed By Dario TI spent four days here with my niece, who had been ill and we needed som rest to recover. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even though my french is quite bad. The hotel is on the main road of Cap Skirring approximately in the middle of the way between the beaches and the village. The rooms have hot water, ac and fans. The Cisko is more than a hotel, as it is also a cultural center, with concerts taking place sometimes. In the middle of February it will be home for a jazz festival, for instance.

Reviewed By Piotr PThe hotel is nice close to the ocean. They have nice pool. Rooms are clean. In the hotel is the bar and restaurant. Food was OK. You can sit close to the restaurant in the garden with the sea view. It is good place to stay for 2 - 3 days.

Reviewed By philippepfilouNous avons passés deux semaines chez paco et touty, le cadre est magnifique, le personnel d'une gentillesse incomparable, merci Max et Chantale. Cette location est située à 100 m d'une plage déserte, et 500 m de la route qui va à Cap skirring, l'idéal pour la tranquillité. La petite cuisine, point central des 3 locations nous a permis de prendre notre petit déjeuner copieux et variés, mais surtout de le partager avec les propriétaires, toujours soucieux de nous satisfaire et nos voisins de location. Merci DD et Christian pour ce petit moment de cohabitation. Chambres propres et faites tout les jours, terrasse et intimité préservé, entretien des espaces verts, de la piscine des équipements, et gardiennage Irréprochables. Et si vous souhaitez pêcher, faites confiance aux recommandations de Paco. Hébergement vivement conseillé.... Merci et bon séjour. Philippe.

Bignona is a small friendly rural town located in the Ziguinchor region, south of Senegal. Our guesthouse is on a private plot with surrounding walls for added privacy. The main building consists of 20 double bedrooms (all en-suite) & an extra large livingroom/Commonroom.Conference room There is a large veranda along the front of the house, ideal for relaxing in the shade. Or you may prefer to soak up the sun in our beautiful garden of lush plants & trees. Weather its business or pleasure our staff are friendly & helpful & shall do their best to ensure your stay is a pleasant one. All our bedrooms are en-suite & have air conditioning, fans, TV & satilite & mosquito nets as standard. All meals can also be provided. (Local cuisine)
Way beyond expectations
Reviewed By TamaracoulibalyMy whole experience was very positive here at auberge kayokulo. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I have stayed here before but was pleasantly surprised by its complete new upgrade. It has a new 3 storey building beside the existing (one storey) building. It got a new paint job and was tiled throughout, even in the garden was tiled. This made the whole place so much brighter and really lovely. We chose the presidential suite which consisted of an en suite double room with balcony and an attached sitting/lounge room for relaxing. The small area in between both rooms was equipped with fridge and kettle for making tea etc. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels and bedclothes were changed. If you want to eat here, you need to order in advance so just tell the staff in the morning. The food was delicious and we ate all our meals here, even when we went out for the day, we always returned to eat here. The rooms have a fan, aircon and mosquito net. It also has free wifi. We loved chatting with the staff and other guests in the garden in the evening. We enjoyed some Senegalese tea (called ataya) that the staff very kindly made for us. The atmosphere here is so welcoming and chilled, I didn’t want to leave. I would definitely recommend that you book in advance as it was quite busy when we were there and some guest were disappointed because there were no rooms available when they turned up without booking.

Cheap in city centre
Reviewed By jazz12354Ndaary Khassoum won't win any prizes for decor but it's perfectly good if you are the backpacker type. Rooms are clean, the two beds I tried were fine, bathroom was clean with shower and Western type loo (which was flushed with a bucket in one of the rooms I stayed in), and a bucket of water for bathing in case supplies are temporarily down. Which they were... The staff is friendly and helpful but speak only French. I paid 11,000 (Dec 2018) for a room with fan and including a simple breakfast, it'd be 13,000 for two persons and aircon rooms are 4,000 more. It was impossible to find anything else in that price range in or near the city centre.
