Short stay in Suncheon in a local entertaining neighbourhood

The room we choose was traditional Korean and exceeded my expectations with very confortable yo on an electric ondol floor. We had a computer and big flat TV in the room and a window that was able to close all the way so we could have some privacy. We were not sure the yo would be enough for two at once so boyfriend and I used one yo each (more than two were provided in the room, they were folded but I knew how to set them up from a Japanese trip). Room was quiet (we might have been the only guests at the time) and it was of a decent size. However, we didn't like the fact that even though on Booking.com the hotel had agreed to an Early Check In at 13 o'clock, on arrival at 13.30 we were told we could not check in until the regular time of 15 o'clock. They did offer to store our luggage in the main time and we went in search of some sustenance and rest as we had had the bright idea to walk from the train station with our bags in tow (very bad idea, totally recommend the efficient bus service in the area). I found the bathroom quite tacky as it was pink in a clamshell design and I was thinking that maybe in the area a couple of those hotels are more love hotels than regular ones however everything was functioning alright. And the weird thing I found, working in hotels, is that on arrival all the guest rooms had their door open including ours and we felt a bit unsafe going in as we didn't know what we would thread upon.

A simple hotel suitable for one night
Reviewed By TheHappyWandering1We stayed one night so we could visit naganeupseong folk village. A taxi from the station costs ₩2,500 and its a short walk to the bus station. Rooms were basic and had aircon as well as a fan, so stayed nice and cool and wifi worked well. There also looks to be basic breafast in the foyer with toast and coffee, but we did not try this. There is also not a big variety in restaurants around this area, but there is a supermarket opposite the station for supplies. The older lady at the hotel does not speak any English, but the younger couple are very friendly and helpful.

Reviewed By RaymondKang모텔촌에 위치해 처음엔 별로 기대를 안했으나, 대만족한 호텔... 늦은 체크인으로 위치는 잘 모르겠으나 시내중심부 인것 같고, 기존 모텔을 리노베이션 한듯하다. 룸은 상당히 넓고, 어메니티 잘 갖추어져 있다. 스타일러, 공기청정기가 있어 쾌적했다. 화장실도 넓으며 깨끗하고, 욕조도 갖춰져있다. 바닥이 먼지나는 카페트가 아닌 타일이라 더 마음에 든다. 침대도 넓고 아늑하다. 조식 제공인데, 내려가보니 핫밀은 아니고 콜드밀을 취향대로 즐길수 있다. 햄버거, 빵, 케익, 컵라면, 오렌지와 토마토, 커피 등 간단한 요기정도로 생각한다면 충분히 만족할만한 식단이다. 주차시설 잘 갖춰져있으며, 특이한건 로비에 향수가 비치되어 있어 사용가능하다.

Reviewed By kimheesoo잔반적으로 깨끗하다. 4인이 숙박했는데 치솔은 2개, 목욕 타월이 1장뿐이었다. 숙박인원에 대한 사전 준비가 미흡하다고 생각한다. 순천역의 철로와 접해있으나 열차로 인한 소음은 들리지 않는다. 호텔 건너편은 순천역전시장이 있어 시장둘러보는 재미가 있다.

Reviewed By 토끼서생저녁식사를 하기위해 모텔 밖을 나와 보니 바로 앞에 순천워터피아 사우나 목욕탕이 있고 주변에는 식당과 노래방등이 즐비하게 있네요. 모텔에서 조금걸어가 성암정식당에 영양돌솥밥을 먹고 아침에는 워터피아에서 목욕을 하고 아침식사는 모텔에서 우측으로 조금 걸아가면 명장진국설렁탕식당이 있는데 정말 맛있던군요. 모텔 청결하고 친절하여 좋았고 주변에 슈퍼. 음식점, 목욕탕. 실내골프연습장, 병원, 약국 등이 있어 지내기에 정말 편하고 좋았습니다. 적극 추천합니다.

Reviewed By AryunThis hanok advertises itself as being really close to the Suncheon Bay ecological park... This would not be a terrible lie if you're in a car. Unfortunately, as we did not have a car, we felt a little stranded after our cab dropped us off here. Still, we did not have to wait very long before the house lady came and immediately offered us a ride, which was nice. The nice house lady aside, the room was large and comfortable with a decent bathroom. There seemed to be some kind of barbeque place which a Korean group was using so that might be something to look into, but otherwise, be warned, this place is in the middle of nowhere. There is a bus stop a block out that can get you to and from the Suncheon city and to and from the Ecological park, but unless it's festival season, and it's overcrowded (which apparently it can get overcrowded) and/or you have a car, you may want someplace a bit closer to town. There are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. This place would be highly recommended for a business/larger group of friends getaway as one might just hire a small bus and rent out all the rooms. But do note that it is a hanok, and if you go at any time that the Koreans deem "cold", you're going to have overheated, feet burning floors. We looked in vain for a way to control the heat and couldn't. Fortunately, it wasn't a problem while on the bed, but the large room seemed pointless if you couldn't really lounge in it.

Reviewed By 현주 이체크인하러갔는데 전화받고있는직원이외에 다른직원이 잡담하느라 응대도 안하고...시설이 별로라 짜증도 나는데 말꼬리를 시비를 건다. 온도조절설명을 해주더니 잘 못알아들으면 직접올라와서 해줘야하는게 당연한거 아닌가?알아서 하라고 말로 만한다. 위치도 이상한곳에있고 정말 뜯어말리고 싶다..가지말라고

Not for the fussy
Reviewed By Christa CIt's a love motel. Walls are thin, amenities basic & housekeeping not consistent. You get the drift. They don't speak English and you can see couples checking in and out. In all fairness, it does not seem seedy at all. However, don't be surprised if you hear noises. So, if you plan to stay with your family, be warned. Unless you are comfortable with see through mirrors for your bathroom, steer clear. Rooms are also dusty. Plumbing is not poor as water does not flow quickly enough.
