All in all, a rather disappointing stay
Reviewed By k0pf0derzahlI had booked this B&B because the website featured what looked like a really nice veranda with good views over Pecs. I also liked the ethnographic decoration which was featured online. When we arrived in the evening there was a big noisy wedding. So we could not have a bite to eat and a glass of wine on the veranda/terrace. All we could do is go to the room which, as it was very much decorated, felt rather overwhelming. The bathroom is dated and the toilet seat not properly adjusted. The next morning we were told that we would have breakfast in another building just below because in the hotel they had to prepare for yet another wedding. This room had a terrace too but even while the rather basic buffet breakfast (which itself could be much improved) was served, here too tables and chairs etc. were moved because the of the preparations for the wedding. So this was, all in all, a rather disappointing stay.

Reviewed By juhlditteEnjoyed our stay at Hullam Villa, which offers clean rooms, an outdoor pool and a solid breakfast buffet. You can park on the premises but the spots are extremely small and you have to reverse out which is a big minus. Also be aware that this is not a wellness retreat, no yoga lessons are offered (despite marketing photos of it) and overall it is a nice place but nothing extraordinary.

Absolutely wonderful
Reviewed By dcc251Ilona is a wonderful host and this B&B shows this. The rooms are beautifully clean and simple and the terrace and restaurant are a really lovely place for dinner or breakfast. We almost ate in the centre of town but are really pleased we changed our mind and ate here. Really excellent Hungarian dishes, wines and atmosphere. I'm not sure I'll ever be back in Siófok, but if I am it'll be to just go here for dinner and a night's rest.

Reviewed By Vasile VThis is my second stay at the hotel. The first one went ok, just a bit noisy for my taste, but the conditions were top of the line. Now on my second stay however.... it's a whole other story. So, here we are, me and my partner, after a drive of 5 hours, sweaty and smelly... We arrive at the hotel, we do our check in and go up into the room. There we unpack and half and hour later we wanna take each a shower... But then surprise... The hot water is not working... I went down to the reception, and asked politely what's going on. The lady, on a most respectful tone told me that this problem will be solved in about 2hours and to please forgive them for this inconvenience... I was understanding, and I know that they do not cut off the hot water on purpose. While we were waiting, we thought, hey, it would be great to watch something on the laptop. We tried connecting to the Wi-Fi... But what do you know, we were outside the Wi-Fi range... We had signal only on the balcony... I signaled this to the nice lady from the reception, she just shrugged her shoulders at me and told me that there is nothing she can do...But we managed to watch something on the balcony, we made it a little picnic. So here we are at 11 PM, no hot water still... No WiFi in the room... So we made a quick cold shower and figured we will take a long one in the morning... The next day we wake up, it's around 7 AM ... I go into the shower, with full confidence that the situation was solved... And SURPRISE... The water was colder than last night... Obviously this made me angry and as such I first tried calling the reception... No answer... I went downstairs and the mister, this time, was outside enjoying his coffee and smoking... I said once again that there is no hot water, he went and "fixed it" and told me that the situation will be solved in 10-15 mins... We gave it 30 mins, just to be on the safe side... The water was still cold... I was furious at this point... It has been over 12 hours since we signaled the issue and still no hot water... Upon my last trip downstairs, because no one bothers to answer the phone from reception... I was greyed by an older man, who told that in max 30 mins the situation will be fix and we will have hot water... Now it's almost 10 AM, we have to leave because we have booked this room for 1 night only... And still no hot water So, bottom line. If everything works and nothing breaks down, the hotel is quite nice, with a great view, a bit noisy since it's surrounded by Bars. God forbid something happens because they take forever to fix the problem, and if you are on tight schedule and just wanted a night in a warm bed and a hot shower... Then be prepared for the worst and I mean the worst intervention and help that you can receive. This is the last time that we will be coming to this hotel.

Reviewed By David PWhat a find ! A lovely family run hotel with truly excellent food. Environmentally friendly too – only glass bottles, no plastic and only paper straws. Our room was small but beautifully refurbished as was the modern bathroom. Better still it had air conditioning which actually worked. The beds were comfortable with top quality new mattresses and firm pillows. The overall atmosphere was relaxed with friendly staff. The gardens and pool area were delightful – just the sort of garden that you dream of having at home. Lovely flowers, trees and shrubs everywhere. Beach volleyball court, outdoor fitness area, sandpit and children's play area. The food. Oh the food ! It was marvellous. We have never had so many tasty dishes offered to us at any hotel ever. Apparently, the owner's wife takes responsibility for the kitchen. The meals are buffet style – eat as much as you want. We could not believe the range of wonderful dishes on offer – all so different.

Reviewed By Bhagyashree SWell priced and clean rooms. Breakfast is adequate as well (no pastries). They cater for food preferences, for eg, no pork/beef. Location is excellent - just a few mins walk to the cathedral/szecheyni ter.

Clean, good location, and helpful staff
Reviewed By cmayottMy sisters and I spent two nights here. We arrived early and left our bags; when we returned, they had taken them up to our room. The staff also helped us with directions, arranged for a taxi back in Budapest, and gave some good restaurant recommendations. The bathroom was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was good.

Easily found this ground floor (up 5/6 steps) apartment, it did not disappoint. Secure parking in a courtyard right next to the property which is nearly opposite the Adele Hotel over the road. Ultra modern, large, very clean with all that you need, big shower room, tastefully decorated, little extras like brollys in case it rains pictures chandelier, comfortable bed, large fridge with drinks (payable). Wifi very good. Location 5 minutes walk to the main square. We agreed this is the best apartment we have stayed in, nothing to complain about, staff very pleasant and helpful and well run. Defo will come back. Cannot upload photos.

Guesthouse of Tamas Gere, called Diofa Pension, which is situated on the Diofas square in the centre of Villany has been welcoming guests since 2006. Last renewal was in year 2014. All our guests are welcome in family atmosphere, quiet and pleasant surroundings. Our single, double or triple rooms are equipped with shower, air conditioning, TV.

Reviewed By Ninuzzo77We stay there for one night and we felt like we were home. Not a simple pension but high standard hotel. Clean room and toilet, amenities like 3 star. Very good breakfast. We loved it. It is also possible to buy the great Gere Tams&zsolt wine
