Romantic rooftop
Reviewed By Matevž DGreat scenery on the rooftop. Excelent food, super nice staff, amazing wine and ambiance. If you're looking for a romantic getaway, this is the place. I'll defenetly wisit the rooftop again. Also hotel seems very clean and cozy, haven't been staying there tho.

Reviewed By O671VC_Only two big advantages - the possibility of parking on the border of the city, which is almost completely devoid of this possibility, and a view of the city from above. The rooms are poorer than the hostel, the breakfast is poor. The price is unrealistically overpriced. Inhospitable and unpleasant staff.

I have nothing bad to say about this accommodation, so I will point out the best things about this place and one important note about the location(read till the end): - Piran has a big problem with parking spaces, so if you're arriving with a car, I highly recommend booking this accommodation, because they offer private parking free of charge - The rooms looked new and very clean, fresh towels provided - The terrace is the best thing, very nice chill space with great view - The owner was really helpful and nice - There's a breakfast option, extra charge but worth it (7 euro) Important note: Location wise, for some people this place might not be so ideal. This guesthouse is not located next to a town square, but on a hill. If you want to go to the town centre, it is about 15 min walk downhill. Of course when you're returning, you have to go up the hill, which can be problematic for some people. Just a warning.

Small hotel in great location
Reviewed By Ursula EI only spent one night in Piran and chose Hotel Piranika because of the location close to the ocean and it was perfect. The rooms are newly renovated and very clean. The bathroom is very small but I can understand this in an old building like that. Airconditioning worked well, Wifi didn't. There is no staff there. I received an e-mail with my room number and door code. The e-mail also gave me the necessary information about parking and how to reach the hotel. I was very happy with the room, the location and the restaurant downstairs. I parked my car in Arze garage and it took me about 15-20 minutes to walk to the hotel. I very much liked the style of the room and the staircase. I enjoyed my stay.

Disappointing
Reviewed By FrqvntTravelrK6851QEI had great hopes for this place, as it had a good rating on Booking.com and great location (plus, as have visited several other hotels in the same city before, which had always met or exceeded my expectations). It was a bit expensive for what it offered - a tiny room, no cooking facilities or even minibar/fridge (compared to elsewhere in Piran, where one could get a whole apartment for the same price), but since the trip was a last-minute decision, there were not many free accommodations left for that weekend and this one looked promising on paper. Contrary to what its description on Booking.com says, i.e. that all rooms have a desk (see picture 1), mine did not have it (working on the laptop from the bed - not ideal). Moreover, I was unpleasantly surprised finding out only upon arrival that the prices and other text (discounts) stated on their website are apparently "incorrect". Their website stated 20% discount on sole occupancy (see picture 2) - which was not granted to me (not even 10% or 5%). I showed them their website, as this fact was first denied, but I was then mocked for it ("Do you know how much others in Piran can now charge?" was used as an argument). Also, when making my booking on the phone, the older gentleman (owner?) stated that he would reduce the price for me since I would not be taking their lavish breakfast. Upon leaving, none of this materialised. A younger man in his late 40s (manager?) dealing with payment brusquely informed me that no discounts whatsoever would be applied (apparently in agreement with the owner or following his instructions). No apology or even embarrassment about the situation (or about the violation of consumer law). Left a rather poor impression of greediness/unlawfulness/shadiness mixed with rudeness -- not what other places in Piran (or Slovenia) are generally like at all. While the location of the hotel is great (up on the hill, close to the church and pastoral centre where many activities, such as concerts, take place), don't book this hotel if sleep is important to you, particularly on lower floors, as the noise from the stairway and from the preparation and operation of the breakfast room below contribute too much noise to drown it out with earplugs. Otherwise, clean.

Appartement was clean and well equiper, including AC, Wifi and even Netflix. Daily housekeeping was included and very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay in this appartement!

A perfect weekend getaway
Reviewed By 735tjasavThe location is at the top of the hill with beautiful views, room is basic but nice and clean, staff is very friendly and breakfast is absolutely great. If you want to have dinner there it is advisable to reserve a table - we didn't get a table last minute and we had to go elsewhere to dinner.

Le stanze non sono grandissime ma di dimensioni ampiamente sufficienti, arredate con gusto ed eleganza. Tutti gli ambienti sono arredati molto bene e la pulizia è ottimale. La colazione viene servita nell'annesso "aperitivo bar", locale molto elegante e ben frequentato soprattutto di sera; piacevole anche il giardinetto antistante l'hotel dove abbiamo trascorso diversi momenti rilassanti usufruendo dell'ottimo servizio bar. Il personale è estremamente disponibile, cortese e simpatico; soprattutto sempre sorridente. Un luogo dove tornarci senza alcun dubbio.

Good food - weird hospitality
Reviewed By MacGerbilWe went here without reservation, and by luck someone did not show up so we got their table. We had salad and linguine with langoustine. The pasta was delicious and we had pannacotta for dessert which was also good. The bottle of wine we order were good. We try to book again for another night but they were fully booked, The respond when we asked about the reservation was a curt "we are full". There was no "would you like to book it for another night." They obviously have fully booked restaurant and don't need to add that extra smile to the service. If you don't want to be disappointed, book well ahead of time and make sure to show up on time.
