Lots of pluses but too many minuses
Reviewed By j889814672Check in was quick but they clearly didn't want to do the foreigner registration (a plus with a minus - the theme of this review) Room was nice but up 4 floors which is not very convenient when hauling stuff. The room itself was ok, large enough and spacious, but the bathroom had no shower, just a tub with a spray hose. Very unusual. Also, no curtains, so it's very bright from outside light. Need to wear an airline eye-shade to sleep. The "king" bed is actually two twins pushed together, so not very comfortable. The banya complex is excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, but there were just too many "design" problems with this hotel. It's as if the owners or designers had never seen or stayed in a hotel when they built it. Food in the restaurant was OK but uninspiring for breakfast and dinner. Service at dinner is slow. Next time I'll try something different - I hope there's someplace better in Sheregesh.

New modern nice hotel in Sheregesh
Reviewed By TheTravelerToUAEAll rooms are good (visit many). All equipment are good and modern. They just finished the construction of the hotel two weeks ago. Very nice SPA area in ground flour (3 different saunas and Jacuzzi. Very nice design of the hotel inside and outside. Perfect location for skiers. Just next to the lift. Two kids rooms. Very good restaurant, food quality and style both.

Reviewed By Joseph PMy experience with the hotel is limited but what I saw was enough to put me off. Our experience was as follows. We’re in Sheregesh for a couple of weeks & trying a different restaurant most nights. My wife, myself and our 6 year old arrive at Olga & go to reception. We’re dressed the same way we’ve dressed for the 6 or 7 other restaurants we’ve dined at so far on our trip My wife “Hi, is the restaurant open?” “It’s closed” says a guy leaning against a post behind us before the people at reception can answer “Ok fine, we’ll just use the atm” “That’s closed too” “The atm is closed?” “It’s not working” One of the women at reception says “But it is working” “No, it’s not working!” Women at reception “Just let them use the atm” My Russian isn’t great & at this point I’m not sure I’m really understanding everything that’s going on but an argument has broken out between this guy & the women at reception plus 2 people standing at the counter. My wife tells me just to try the atm As I’m getting money out, the guy is abusing the women at reception “When the boss gets back, he’s going to turn you (expletive) into cutletkas!” (basically meatballs) We leave and he’s left the post he was leaning on and is now hurling insult after insult over the counter at the reception workers Now Russian standards of service are different and I’m accustomed to that. First time visitors might misinterpret the lack of smiling etc as rudeness but it’s not. However, this employee, who appeared to be the restaurant bouncer, was unmistakably & openly rude to us and the way he spoke the female staff (in front of our child) was appalling. It might be a great restaurant/hotel but I wouldn’t know, & no way am I going to support a place that employs someone like that

Reviewed By richvon2016Stayed here December 2017. No frills, basic rooms, and breakfast. Good situation near kiosks for ski passes and centre of resort. It is a Russian hotel , so some basic words in Russian will help. Staff helpful.

Reviewed By Жандос ОWe struggled to find really good food in Sheregesh and finally stopped choice on restaurant in Berloga. They have both Russian and Uzbek food. I would recommend Fried Manty and Samsa. Liqueur is served for free when you order some of the lines in menu (I would recommend Klyukovka).
