Casa Sanchez is a boutique hotel in a historical building in the heart of Santo Domingo's Colonial Zone. The hotel has a pool, jacuzzi and a large gym. Bedrooms have a wealth of original features including beautiful mosaic tiles. We are a full service hotel with daily maid service, breakfast and 24 hour staffing. Breakfast is cooked fresh to order, served beside the pool and included in our room rates. The hotel is in a quiet street, but just a few steps from the Conde. The area is safe to walk around. Our staff speak English, French and Spanish. We offer an airport pick-up service using a safe English-speaking driver (at additional cost).

Not "kind and friendly" front desk. No parking at all, as advertised On street, public, unsecured parking and "we'll notify you if anything happens"-that wouldn't really be helpful, would it? Pool area VERY run down, wifi only worked in certain areas, common areas need major updating. All right across the street from two sex shops in what did not feel like a safe place to walk day or night. Certainly didn't see any happy, smiling faces.

We are centrally located: just 10 minutes from the Santo Domingo airport, a hot spot for scuba diving and water sports, and an ideal location to travel to other parts of the DR!

Reviewed By workertravelsI booked this hotel because of the beachfront location after 2 weeks traveling around the DR before my flight back. First of all when I checked in I got a very personalised experience which made me feel very welcomed. My room wasnt that great, but was totally ok clean etc. I went immediately down to the restaurant and had some food which was great, and the service was really good. The location is absolute perfection on a quiet part of the beach, which is a sheltered cove/bay. They have free canoes and boards etc and they let you know they are they to use. I spent that day and the whole next day just chilling in the beach restaurant and walking around the beach area - it was so relaxing. I asked the hotel what other rooms they had and they showed me a couple of options al at about the same price. The other rooms were amazing, and I am so impressed with this hotel, the staff and the location and these other rooms that I will consider this my next go to hotel if i want a chill beach holiday. I didnt go out for any nightlife, but its right on the edge of the nightlife area so you can have the best of both if thats what you want

Restaurants, convenience stores, parks and views discoverable from the doorstep, plus a key to let myself in and out of the small property, felt like a home away. Easy walk to points of interest in Zona Colonial. I felt safe at night as a solo female traveler. Warm reception. Clean room. Good WiFi. Hot water.

Reviewed By bouncertoneEnjoyed my stay hotel was clean. Not too far from the beach but not right on the beach. I wouldn’t advise walking at night if you are faint of heart. I choose this place because you are away from people trying to sell things and prostitutes. Bar is very expensive and there is a hot tub but not pool. Room had kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and a terrace. Only complaint was when the maid came in without knocking and saw me and my girlfriend naked. Other than that it was cool.

Small hotel in the heart of Boca Chica, clean and modern rooms with everything a traveller would need. We provide a gorgeous decorated terrace and nice restaurant for breakfast and dinner. All our guests can use our pool which includes an area with hidromessage. All our rooms offer free WIFI & safe, private bath room, air condition, flat screen TV and a small fridge.
Very clean hotel under construction
Reviewed By danny_kent1We stayed here because we needed to stay overnight somewhere near the Santa Domingo airport. The good features are that the room was large and new, very clean including the bathroom, the two young ladies on the front desk were helpful and friendly, and the room was good value. The downside is that the hotel is on a side street in Boca Chica and even asking three or four different people, our Uber driver had a hard time finding it. We arrived late at night and it took a lot of ringing the bell (inside the locked front gate) to get the attention of the staff. The neighborhood looks a bit sketchy, although we had no problems while we were there. Finally, the hotel is still being renovated (as of December 2017). So if you are a bit adventurous this hotel deserves a look. There didn't seem to be many hotels nearer the airport that weren't overpriced and this one is very reasonable.

Enjoyable Small Hotel
Reviewed By Chantal CRecently visited Santo Domingo to attend a conference and this hotel was perfectly located for my needs. In addition, staff was friendly and the restaurant offered great local dishes. My room was clean and spacious enough for my need. However no view at all. Would definitely recommend.

It is not fair to judge them compared to a large resort...I will try to be objective in this review. The good: - the resort seems safe. - the Valenzuelan girl at the front desk was wonderful! - the art is great - close proximity to the airport. The bad: - The bed did not have sheets. I did not have confidence the blanket was washed regularly. - As other reviewers have mentioned, there was loud music going on very late. We experienced 2 women screaming right outside our door. - A local guy (Cesaer) wanted to be our 'guide to Boca Chica'. He ruthlessly hassled...wanted to show us this restaurant or that gift shop. He would not leave us alone. We did not want his help. It got to the point my wife did not feel comfortable leaving the hotel.

Bad Wifi, Room didn't match picture
Reviewed By Rich SMy room didn't match the picture on the Travelocity website so I had to pay additional money for the room that I wanted. Wifi was horrible, I had to pay for office space at a nearby co-working location. I had other issues too, but not going to waste more of my time on this place. The one positive was the quality of the bed, I did get a great night sleep there.
