Reviewed By alexanderbQ1756EMIt was a clean functional hotel, the building is a well renovated DDR house. The staff were very helpfull, very nice atmosphere. Wonderful breakfast. It was much further from the train station than we expected. Good quality for price ratio.

Delightful little coffee shop
Reviewed By thomap2014Found this little coffee shop, while in Warnemunde on a day in port from a Baltic Cruise. They offer a huge slice of gateau and cup of freshly ground coffee for 5.5 euros, which we thought represented very good value for money. The only downside was that they did not offer free wi-fi but this was more than made up for by the quality of their coffee and gateau!

Reviewed By SminzaSehr netter Empfang beim Check-In. Ausreichend Parkplätze im Hinterhof für zusätzliche Gebühr. Zimmer war ordentlich. Ein paar Flecken auf der Bettwäsche, die wohl die Waschmaschine nicht geschafft hat, aber ansonsten war das Zimmer sauber. Für eine Nacht top und die Lage passt auch.

Not quite there yet

We were looking for somewhere to stay whilst attending a concert at the Stadthalle and this hotel fitted the bill being near the station, the event venue and the town centre. The owners are still renovating the hotel which is an old (100 years?) fine town house. However, if I was going to have a hotel then this is not the building I’d start with. They have a difficult job to convert the old building into a hotel. Our room was large but somehow didn’t work. The bathroom was a pod installed near the middle, no problem with the inside of it. But somehow it all did not fit together. One side of the bed had nowhere to put things (glasses, watch etc) and the light on the other side was pitiful. The furniture was a mish mash of styles which did not work. Breakfast is bizarrely held in the entrance hall and guests checking out have to use the side/back door. Breakfast was typical European - no issues. Overall this is a major project to get right and will need vision and lots of money to succeed. Good luck. It was not a cheap place to stay at but they need every euro they can get.

Pleasant place to stay
Reviewed By angieManchesterWe stayed at Villa Ostseegruss for two nights. It is a small, family run B & B on a street leading down to the beach. The hotel is a refurbished town house and our rooms were clean and well presented with good ensuite facilities. Breakfast consisted of bread rolls, cold meats, cheeses, cereals and fresh fruit and was most enjoyable. Tea and coffee were plentiful. The hotel only accepts cash. Warnemunde is a family resort with a good beach and numerous restaurants on the river frontage. This is an area where little English is spoken.
