Reviewed By fiddleman_12I stayed at this hotel because it was included in a prepackaged bike tour. The location was good, central in charming Radolfzell. Unfortunately this hotel does not deserve to be on anyone's list of desirable destinations. On arriving, the lady at check in was business like and abrupt. The room was dark and the furnishings old and run down. The carpet should be replaced as should the sofa. The mattress was too soft and the bathroom amenities were very skimpy. Just an envelope of soap, no shampoo or body lotion. It was a hot day and I asked if we could have a fan, but there was none to be had. We wanted to have a beer in the restaurant while waiting for a friend, but that wasn't possible either. The hostess made us feel like it was an imposition for us to be even just waiting there. The breakfast buffet was a joke. No fresh fruit, choice of Müsli, just some hard boiled eggs, rolls and cold cuts. This place writes the book as to how not to run a hotel!

Staff is very helpful and warm, breakfast is European style with plenty types of food and it is located at 8th floor which is giving a very nice panorama above the Bodensee and sunrise. Rooms are quiet and parking is available outside for free ( limited, around 15-20 places) and also underground with extra pay ( around 8-9 euro/ night).

Reviewed By Companion745033I had a lovely stay in this modern hotel. Although it is near a railway line, it is very quiet and the rooms are well insulated. The staff were very pleasant, particularly the staff on Reception and were very helpful. Ideal for cyclists and tourism.

Each of the rooms is individually designed and furnished, has a balcony and deck chairs, views onto the surrounding gardens or the lake. Very attentive and welcoming hosts. Lovely garden, with porch seating available for your breakfasts or coffees on a warm day. And not to forget: the rare luxury of a proper bathtub for a good soak. Breakfast is delicious too.

A last choice when German part of Bodensee gets over populated
Reviewed By theBuddhaIt was Seenachtsfest (night festival at Constance) and all accommodation between Meersburg and Constance were booked, including hotels, apartments and airbnb! We got a lead to this hotel from a friend and booked it for three nights during our cycle tour. The hotel speaks (and smells, to a certain extent) it's age out. The rooms are clean though they look worn out. The views are fine (for those who haven't witnessed similar views, perhaps it might appeal better for they offer a good view of the surrounding landscape from a height). The bathrooms look quite newly done, though the shower curtains do not keep the shower from flowing off the cabin. At the price, I was a little disappointed to have booked the room. The hotel is run by an elderly lady and her family. The family is very friendly. The lady's daughter checked us in quite late at night (relatively, in German standards) and her husband showed us the place to park our bicycles and the way to the hotel. The hotel itself is perched on a height, away from the restaurant. The gentleman and his conversations threw a brighter side to an otherwise gloomy choice for our stay. Breakfast is served in a big room in the hotel. It is good enough to launch oneself into a good start for the day. Access to the place is a point of concern, depending on how one commutes. By car, it is a few minutes' ride from nearby Radolfzell. By bus, it is 13 minutes from Radolfzell, buses plying once every hour, running till night. The bus station is in front of the restaurant. By cycle (which, unfortunately was our case), it is a steep 6 km ride from Radolfzell! All in all, we paid hefty for the room we got but with no other choice at hand, I would rather not complain! And yes, this Adler is not to be mistaken with a hotel of same name in Radolfzell!!

Reviewed By TinawtzlNettes Gästehaus, ruhig gelegen, mit renovierten Zimmern, überwiegend mit Terrasse oder Balkon und jeweils einem kleinen Kühlschrank. Die Zimmer sind sauber, gemütlich eingerichtet und werden täglich gereinigt! Unser Hund durfte gegen eine kleine Gebühr ebenfalls hier nächtigen. Bedingung der Gastgeberin war, ein eigener Schlafplatz für die Fellnase in Form eines mitgebrachten Kissens oder einer Decke, was für uns aber selbstverständlich war. WLAN war im Preis inbegriffen, man musste lediglich das Passwort erfragen. Die Gastgeberin Frau Bührer ist freundlich, geht auf Wünsche ihrer Gäste ein und setzt u.a. das Frühstückskonzept nach Corona-Richtlinien sehr gut und umweltfreundlich um! Parkplätze sind vor und gegenüber dem Haus vorhanden. Das Städtchen Radolfzell, der malerische Untersee und die Höri sind mit dem Auto oder dem Rad (sowie mit Bahn und Bus) schnell zu erreichen und lohnenswerte Ausflugsziele, die gerade unter der Woche und zu „Coronazeiten“ noch beschaulich und nicht überlaufen sind! Für einen (Kurz-) Urlaub mit und ohne Vierbeiner würden wir das Gästehaus Diana auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen!
