Fabulous location, staff and breakfest

This places location is amazing close to the beach, right across the street from a lagoon with flamingos, and close to lots of great restaurants. My spouse and I stayed in room 10 which is right of the pool from the front office and left of the pool shower. The room has 2 full beds with a couch, desk, and a window that faces a wall. The key they give you is a wooden rectangle Keychain with a penguin graved in. The Air-conditioned worked great kept the room nice and cool. The room was clean overall just needs a little deep cleaning on the couch and curtains. The bathroom was big nice shower area. I was able to have a nice hot shower but it did take a few mins to get hot. The bathroom does have a bar of soap and a pump i think soap shampoo in the shower area. No hair dryer in room. many of the towels had orange spots which they said was from towel holder so just be aware. The pool was nice and warm and wifi worked ok in this area. Did not work well in the bedroom which is OK nice to disconnect. They do have 3 hot tubs upstairs but you must let them know 30 mins beforehand so they can put water and run them but none of use in our group used them. Warning every morning starting around 4 am then nonstop at 5am roosters would crow many of us could not sleep after 5am from the roosters. Just a fair warning. Beer and water are available for purchase from the lobby $3 for small beer $5 for big bottle beer and $1.25 for bottle of water but they did run out. down the street on the left beer was cheaper so we go buy there. Also past that store on the left there is an amazing empanda stand that sells the best for only a $1.50 each doesn't open til after 4pm. Located right on the beach. breakfast here was amazing located upstairs included eggs: (boiled or scrambled) cheese, meat, toast, bread,banana, fruits, fresh juice, coffee, tea, milk, and yogurt. I would definitely stay here again location fabulous, service and staff wonderful.

This unique quite corner provides a serene setting of lava rock with calm turquoise waters. Breakfast is offered at an additional $10/p and served on our beautiful beach while viewing the visiting penguins, sealions, blue footed boobies and marine Iguanas.

Reviewed By bekkiamy515Cute little beachfront hotel with perfect views, yummy scrambled eggs/fruit for breakfast with delicious juice, and very nice staff who go out of their way to accommodate. Veronica and Rebekka were so sweet and gave great advice for what to go see. Rebekka told me about another pond I hadn’t seen yet when I was sad I hadn’t seen flamingos after the hike to the tortoise center - we went where she said and they were there at 2pm! Veronica’s food recommendations were great (Pan & Vino was the best place we ate, and we returned daily for the waffles and sandwiches - amazing food plus AC on the inside which is rare here!). Jaci and Ramon are the owners and are very nice. We had a minor issue with the AC leaking condensation, and they fixed it immediately. Very cold AC and nice hot water for showers. It’s a small place, but if you are like us and enjoy a quieter stay with people who genuinely care about you having a good day and suggest things for you to try, plus follow up later to see if you enjoyed the activity or food they suggested, this place is absolutely perfect. We loved the hotel and the people here, and would definitely go back

Reviewed By 102jimjWhat a location - 30 feet from the waves and a 5 minute walk to everything in town!! Our pre arrival discussions with Michelle were unbelievably helpful. To ensure our honeymoon trip was over the top, she perfectly arranged everything - airport pickup, a private wildlife tour, the Los Tunnels snorkeling tour, a private very romantic beach dinner (thank you Marita!), the volcano tour and our ferry reservation to Santa Cruz. The perfect mix of adventure and romance. The room was clean and comfortable and manager Natelie helped reconfirm all tours and appointments. Breakfasts were healthy and delicious. We highly recommend this boutique hotel nothing could have been better.

Excellent hotel and staff
Reviewed By steve gthe wooden house is a lovely hotel only a short walk from the jetty where ferrys drop you off. It is a nice quiet location, rooms are good size and clean and comfortable. We had a room upstairs which had a lovely view, and hammocks on the balcony. The food at the hotel is excellent and well worth having an evening meal. Breakfast was very nice. There is a small pool and bar for guests, which is nice. The main "town" is a short walk, everywhere is a short walk. There are plenty of places to eat, a few souvenir shops and places to book tours or diving etc. We hired bikes for a day and explored many beaches and coves, lagoons and the crying wall. We saw lots of Flamingos as well as the ever present marine iguanas. We arranged tours through the hotel which was easy and cost effective. The volcano and los tunnelles are highly recommended.I also did a couple of dives at esmeralda which were superb. I have never seen so much big marine life in one dive anywhere in the world. From 5m manta rays, hammerhead sharks as well as other sharks, sealions hunting fish. It is a magical island

Reviewed By PedroSterlingSilvaStayed here 4 nights thanks to a young lady who invited us to come and check it out while we were walking from the pier. Dare I say, we like it! It has a few green bits, which is nice, everybody there is really nice, it was cozy and nice, the shower was nice too, it was nicely clean, they gave you some nice information (also tried to flog some tours, which is fair enough), they have nice drinking water available at reception for free to refill your bottle, I mean, it was really nice!

Reviewed By JuroS3If you are going to stay on Isla Isabela during your Galapagos trip, then Casita de la Playa is the perfect match. Not only is this hotel beach front, great and clean rooms, but what makes this hotel so special is the service!!! All personal is very helpful and from the beginning makes your stay on another level. Even though this is only a 3 stars hotel, you feel like you have a concierge services from a luxury hotel. My wife got sea sick on the ferry from Santa Cruz and Paola assisted us immediately with cold towel on forehead, refreshing drink, gave us the room earlier before official check-in and called our travel agency to cancel a trip we were supposed to make that day. In addition, Paola checked right away if there are any free flights for the way back and arranged an appointment with the local flight company. Unfortunately we had to cancel another day trip as the sea sickness of my wife was back after another boat trip. Another colleague from the hotel, David, was so kind to run around other hotels to help us sell our tickets to tourists so that we can get at least some money back, because the travel agency didnt allow us to cancek it- you don’t see this every day. Every day we got Everything we needed - recommendation of a good local restaurant, booking a day trip directly with the provider without taking any commission (which other agencies do, so you save money), booking a taxi with driver they personally know or anything else they were always there for us. Our super friendly comfort Hotel Volcano is only 1 block away from the beautiful, pristine waters of the Puerto Villamil beach, on Isabela Island. At the beginning of 2016 we found this hidden gem of a property, fell in love with it and gave it a complete facelift. It now offers 10 modern, cozy rooms with lovely ocean views and only minutes away from the center of town.

Reviewed By archlavNothing fancy but convenient. You cannot throw toilet paper in the toilet which I think is plumbing across the island. Its conveniently next to a grocery store. They have lovely flowers in their garden. She makes fresh breakfast. They also have a pharmacy next door. Breakfast was juice, cereal, eggs, toast.

Charming Place to Stay on Isabela Island
Reviewed By Peter7714Arriving on Isabela Island I had no place to stay, so I walked around until I found something. When I found Cerro Azul, I immediately liked it. For 25 dollars I got a big room with a huge bed, a toilet and a shower. It was the first room right after walking past the reception. I loved it. The hotel has white and blue colors, reminiscent of Greece (although I've never been to Greece, so what am I talking about, haha). It has hammocks and a pretty large kitchen area. From what I remember, wi-fi was decent here (bear in mind that wi-fi on the Galapagos Islands is slow and unstable in general everywhere). A really nice place to stay. I recommend it.
