the hotel is very basic and the price is high. better to try other location. The bed linen and towels are poor and the room are like the 80s. You are on your own, not safety no people on duty. The owner is very friendly but he does almost everything by himself.

Fun and romantic get-away

Reviewed By paulineren

We stayed in the tree-house at Domaine de la Carrauterie in September. It is a very cosy and romantic place to spend a night! The surroundings are quit and beautiful. The perfect place to wind down for a weekend. The owner was waiting for us with some drinks when we arrived and a home cooked meal was prepared for us once settled in the tree house. Fun experience to do some time!

Modern hotel

Verry cozy and modern hotel. Verry friendly staff and a nice clean room! everything was fine ! a small negative point: I stayed in room 101. This room is in the stairwell. So when someone enters the stairwell you hear the door slamming with an echo. BAM ! BONK ! ... This is less pleasant if this happens at night or early in the morning.

Costumer Service is number one

From the time we walked off the train until the day we left they kept doing stuff for us. Picked us up on the platform. My daughter looked at me and said which way do we go? I looked around and there was William with a sign and our name on it! So nice. He lead us through the Airport took our bags and drove us to the front door....the hotel staff took it from there! Is there anything else I can do is how they ended every conversation. We had plenty for them to do. Louve tickets, boarding passes, dinner and show recommendations....you name it. Perfect.

Excellent beers and cheese, pleasant hotel stay

Reviewed By 355stefang

I was with a party of four and we ate at the restaurant and stayed for one night in the hotel. The beer is excellent. We started with the four beer sampler and the five cheese sampler. Loved, loved the beer and the cheese! The cheese is excellent. We enjoyed these fine delicacies while sitting outside on the large, open terrace and soaked in the lovely countryside views. We then moved to the restaurant for some wonderful food and more beer. Our main dishes were great! Large menu with lots to choose from. Many were of local variety. Desserts were yummy, too. The Staff were very nice, as well, and they are quite busy. This place - though remote - is quite popular with tourists and locals alike. After dinner, around 10PM when the restaurant closed, we headed to our rooms upstairs. The small hotel above the pub/restaurant has only 7 rooms, so book in advance because they fill up quick. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. It becomes very quiet once the restaurant empties out. It was great to just open the window and enjoy the sounds, smells, and sights of the countryside. Free wi-fi, comfy beds, flatscreen TV, mini-fridge, en-suite bathroom - all made for a pleasant stay. There's also a small, interactive museum where you can spend about 30 minutes to work your way through the entire thing. A gift shop offers loads of beers to choose from, including some of the more rare Chimay beers. And cheese! Definitely take home some of the delicious cheese, for sale at the gift shop. Overall, drinking, eating, and staying a night here on a summer weekend was fantastic. It was really enjoyable. There's also of course the small abbey nearby that you can easily walk to. I recommend walking the trail through the forest to get to the abbey. Restaurant and hotel recommended. I'd like to visit again! What a great way to be out in the countryside, imbibe delicious brews, scarf down tasty food, and walk to your hotel room!

Wij komen graag terug!
