Nice Motel with a cosy room

Reviewed By chait1788

Motel was ok, rooms were small but cosy. Room we got a had nice kitchenette and was well kept and clean that made the night stay comfortable and good. Staff were friendly and helpful and tried to accommodate us well. Farther away from Perce (an hour almost), made it tough to get back for sunrise. But was a nice spot to stay at, especially after a long day of driving along the Gaspesie coastline.

Perce in October

Reviewed By MurrayF528

This is a great B&B and located right in the middle of town. The owner was very friendly, gave us a tour of the house and showed us the room. You do have to book your breakfast when checking in but when you show up at your reserved time, the coffee is on your table and food served within a couple of minutes. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Be aware that they only take cash and E transfer, so no credit cards. We were in Perce I mid Oct and be aware that there were only about 15 rooms available in the whole area, the 6 at this Auberge and about 10 next door!! Everything else was closed for the season and the closest restaurant was 35 km away. We had to buy food at the grocer for our evening meal.

I can't say enough about hw much we enjoyed the apartment we stayed in recently. This section of the hotel is newly build taking into consideration everything one could need on vacation. Really big apartment that can accomodate 4 people comfortably The king size bed is extremely comfortable and the linen smells clean. The kitchen is well equiped and all the appliances are new and well maintained. The staff is exetrmely pleasant and try to make your stay is as nice as possible. It's a lot closer to the public beach than i thought...10 min walk max. I highly recommend apartment 45 at the back, although all apartments are really well insulated and sound proof.

A Disappointment

Reviewed By Derek P

We didn't stay at the hotel but had dinner there. We arrived with wet coats and umbrellas. The Maitre d' could do no better than point to a clothes cupboard. He then ushered us in to a gloomy, silent dining room where, it transpired that he was the only waiter. Fortunately he was much better as a waiter than a receptionist but he could not compensate for the poor fare. The menu is prix fixe and quantity seems to be more important than quality. So after we had eaten half our main courses, the appearance of which was better than their flavour, we could mange no more even though we had paid for it.

A new inn with a potential of becoming an outstanding guesthouse

Reviewed By Moshe Michel W

We had difficulties to find the site of the inn, although we talked on the phone with the manager. However, his information was not very clear and the signboard with the name of the inn was not well lit. Fortunately, he waited for us until close to 11 pm, but it turned out that the parking was not close to the entrance door of the inn, and we had to carry our luggage on the first floor (no elevator). In addition, both the toilet and bathroom were shared. The toilet was so small and low that I had to bend to enter it. The bathroom was on the entrance floor, while our room was on the first floor. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. An excellent breakfast was served on a terrace and the manager was extremely accommodating and agreeable.
