The kitchen is of high quality and conference rooms can take both large and small conferences between 2 and 50 people
Almost a week here with family and friends
Reviewed By BonnieSwedeWhen I booked our Golden Wedding Party at Wanbo we had never visited. We went by reviews and also by speaking to Malin on the phone.We asked them to arrange all sorts of activities for us as well as lots of food! When we arrived it was just as we had seen on their website. Absolutely wonderful location with fabulous countryside and bathing possible just a very short walk away. All the staff were so friendly and made our stay brilliant beyond words. The food was worthy of a Michelin star, all thanks to a expert chef. Apart from trips to various local places we had dinner each night at Wanbo including a special celebration meal on the Saturday night. The chef really surpassed himself with that meal. We also visited the haunted cellar, where we had a beer tasting lesson - with plenty of local beers to taste. No ghosts were seen or hear. Everything was so well organised for us and we cannot recommend Wanbo Herrgard enough. Although we visited in the summer, this is also a perfect place to stay during the winter as they are within driving distance to the slopes and ski-jump site.

Unga servitriser som ideligen bad om ursäkt för situationen och gjorde sitt bästa. Priset för högt för vad som levereras, det gav en förväntan som helt enkelt inte uppfylldes.

Perfect romantic ski week
Reviewed By Stephen DWe visited over the New Year period for a well earned break and some skiing. The Hotel was easy to book via the internet and a couple of phone calls to confirm a table for the New Years eve dinner. Our room was adequately sized with a lovely on suite and very clean with excellent Wi-Fi and a TV with English speaking programs. The double room was two big singles together but so comfortable and very quiet. Unfortunately there are no tea and coffee facilities in the room however the reception were happy to provide a flask of hot water and cups on request. The breakfast is buffet style and has everything you could want from hot and cold food yoghurt, cereal, breads, fruit, tea , coffee, fruit juice the list is endless. All of the staff speak fantastic English and are really polite and helpful, we would definitely come back again. The main ski slopes are a two minute drive away with lots of free parking available, the hotel has easy access to a ski/boot room from the car park round the back so you don't have to keep everything in your room. The hotel has an amazing restaurant with staff happy to explain the non English printed menu and a nice friendly bar area for after dinner or pre dinner drinks. If you did not want to eat in the hotel every night there is a good choice of local restaurants no more than a five minute walk away, I would recommend booking the day before as they all get busy.

Hotell Rättvik is located right in the heart of Rättvik. Just next to the well-known long bridge that runs out into Siljan and Rättviks Station you live comfortably and centrally. Sleep well in our nice hotel rooms and are good at our American 50's Diner where you also served a dignified American breakfast.

Didn’t have any expectations but turned out real nice, we got the family room with 1 king and 1 pulled out in a adjacent room. Like that of a joining room, 1 bathroom yet feels big enough for 3 adult. Breakfast was included, iron, hair dryer, self shoe shining inside staircase. It’s lobby has a classic car as a booth, nice customer service, late checkout ok if they have the room( we asked since our train don’t leave till 3pm). Food was good, breakfast decent, rooms are new.

Reviewed By Cruiser374797The magical view! Okay, and the walks directly from the oakyard into the sweetest Dalarna village to lake Siljan. And the friendly, warm, relaxed atmosphere in the house. Run by a Swedish couple. Helpful, hardworking and funny. Beautiful rooms, doesn't even matter which one you choose, traditional and high standard with comfy beds. I had my own bathroom on the corridor next to my room. I liked it al lot there are two guest kitchens and guest living rooms. Sjaaa and then the breakfast; even all vegan if you wish, woodfire in the serre with the upcoming sun. You can't beat this. You will be back. I will. Practical also, free parking, bus stop at the door. All the little towns and nature trails around the corner. I have been here both in spring, summer and winter, always happy stays. And whatever i felt like doing, it was all close; hiking, nature ice skate, downhill ski, langlauf, horse riding, bike, sub, swim, oja and having a FIKA:) But still..not touristy, truly authentic and calm.

Ok, but not at this price point
Reviewed By 748oeThe room was not properly cleaned before our arrival, with trash left in the bin from the previous guests. Otherwise it was an ok room, with some tacky elements in the decor. In addition the included dinner was not living up to the expectations set by the website and price. The timing of the two courses was way of, where they fetched the plates from the first almost before we were done with it, but then the second took super long.

Every convenience and comfort was there with all the facilities expected of a deluxe apartment - even ski boot warmers! I really could not have expected a better experience with a very helpful host in Andre who attended to all my needs. The views of the Siljan and the mountains from the balcony were stunning in the sunshine I shall return but hopefully for a longer stay next time. I would imagine the flat would be equally fabulous not only in the Winter/Spring but also in the Summer

The hotel also offers a bicycle, by which it is easy to move around. The camping nearby is getting crowded, though still in May. Nature is appealing. I am just sorry I could not stay a bit longer.

Walking distance, through a beautiful neighborhood, to reach village center. We can give the best of recommendations - This is a place to enjoy and relax!
