The hotel was recently renovated (2013) and is housed in a building - an architectural "jewel" of the 19th century - a captain's old mansion. Particular attention has been paid to the slightest decoration detail of the interior of the hotel with antiques and furnishing that preserves the style of a bygone era with trademark painted ceilings of the first floor. Nostos Hotel is the best choice for your stay in Galaxidi all year around.

Reviewed By Dave HStayed for 5 nights after a simple 3 hour drive from Athens airport. Easy to park. Lovely welcoming hotel. Maria the owner served a great and varied breakfast every morning. Short, interesting walk to the harbour, with a load of restaurants. Beautiful room, large bathroom, all immaculately presented and maintained.

Reviewed By Anthar666Quite nice hotel on a quiet street in a heart of Delphi. Offers great view of a mountains, valley and even a sea, so if you want to feed your eyes - choose it. You can also have pretty nice breakfast. But also this place has already passed its heyday, and the interior could be refreshed. Sooner than later.

The rooms are well decorated, extremely clean and comfortable, although not too spacey, but you don't need bigger rooms. The guesthouse is more than you need, Mrs Valentini and her daughter Helen are so polite and helpful, you think you are at home !!! Also, our room had the best mattress I have ever slept on! As for negatives, you won't find any no matter how much you try.

Lovely place to stay - restful and great value for money

We had a room with a small kitchenette, a bathroom with jacuzzi and a large terrace with a nice view of the town and the small, quiet bay. The owner is a delightful lady who will always try to help out in any way she can. Classic breakfast fare is complemented by some of her home made breads, cakes and jams (all delicious). All of this for very reasonable rates make it excellent value for money. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The Hirolakas is situated about 5-10 minutes walk from the main part of town (the other bay/harbour) where most of the restaurants are concentrated. In our opinion this was a great advantage! You can also walk to this area around the headland (about 15 minutes). This is a lovely walk BUT, as so often in Greece, you have to share the road with local traffic, so a bit dangerous when it begins to get dark! Galaxidi is a lovely place to spend a few days away from the hustle and bustle, and a great choice if vising nearby Delphi (which, of course, is wonderful).

I also liked the breakfast and the fact that some of the goods were local or made by the owner (a lovely lady). I hope to go back soon. P.s.: magnificent sea view!!!

Charming but lots of stairs
Reviewed By SashazurCharming small hotel in a cute village 15 minutes drive from Delphi, everything looked recently updated. Quiet location a few blocks walk to shops and restaurants. Guests only parking lot across the street. Friendly front desk guy gave good suggestions about where to eat. Our big clean loft room had skylights and a nice view of the town and valley. It was split level with the bedroom area on top and the sitting room (with wood burning fireplace) and heated floor bathroom below - when we needed to use it in the middle of the night it meant negotiating a twisty staircase while almost asleep. Overall this is not a place to stay if stairs are a problem, as also there’s no elevator, no ground floor rooms, and breakfast (which was a simple buffet) is in the basement.

Reviewed By Nemessis44Very nice B&B. The view from the rooms (Sea View) is very calming an nice. The place is very clean and the Owner is probably one of the politest people I have seen. Answering every question, giving you hints what to do and where to go and eat. The B&B was overall nice and clean, I have to admit though that the Sound isolation was not that good so you could hear the nearby rooms and what was going on in the floor. The rooms seemed to "have been forgotten somewhere in the 80's" but the owner made it possible with some nice eyectching tricks to hide it. I have to admit you need to look twice. For sure a recommendation and value for money.
