Peaceful Location

Lets first discuss the Elephant in the room, this hotel is located on a steep hill. It did not bother me much because I am a Runner. but if you have a knee issue or foot problem, it will a difficult climb. But if you take your time going up, you will be fine. The owner is also willing to come to get you. And yes, you do not have to walk through neighborhoods where the locals live. If you are not used to sketchy neighborhoods, it does look scary. But at no times, did I ever feel scared because everyone was extremely friendly. and if you are a tourist, they definitely will not bother you. The looks you get is based on awe. As for the hotel, we had a wonderful and resting stay. Took my 12 y/o son with me. The staff were wonderful and the owner was extremely pleasant. We were very happy we came across this location and will definitely come back. if you are looking for a peaceful place with a million dollars view of the city, this place is it.

Beautiful! The best location in Cap Haitien

Reviewed By FarAway752596

We did spend 4 days in this amazing hotel. Breathtaking views to the ocean and town, during the day or night. The cleanliness was impeccable, tasty and good food with affordable prices. The room was nice with a/c just perfect, the breakfast buffet is limited but was good. The staff very friendly. On the other hand, the restaurant service has a lot to improve, is deficient, almost inexistant. You can wait longtime at the table and nobody is coming to assist you, after finishing your meal don't expect anybody to come and clean up your table, waste of time. We wait 2 hours for a meal and nobody moved, even when we asked several times for our meal. It was just when we could talk to a manager that things move on and we were given excuses with beers and coffee. But we have to say, food is excelent. Cormier beach is not far away by car, around 10 min. Very nice experience overall.

Le Paradis S. Hotel

Not as advertised

Reviewed By mardimichels

I have to be totally fair here and say that while the hotel was not exactly as advertised (not really anything like the description), our stay here was pleasant enough. We LOVED the location - central to everything and we were able to walk all around the town. Our room was large with efficient aircon (+ a ceiling fan), cable TV (not a must but a nice touch) and we had plentiful hot water. Wifi worked pretty well (though electricity went on and off during the nights). Staff spoke French + were very friendly and helpful). However, let me address a few of the claims about the hotel in the description for those booking based on that alone: - No swimming pools - Restaurant for breakfast only (a choice between "oatmeal" and spaghetti + toast, fruit and juice), no bar/ lounge - No rooftop terrace (there is a rooftop but there is no "terrace" and there is a loud generator up there) - Roundtrip airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and an area shuttle is just taxis. - There is no onsite self parking or valet parking (we booked a Queen Standard Room) - No Egyptian cotton linens in room - No rainfall showerhead - No refrigerator So, all that aside, the hotel was perfectly adequate, Just not as advertised.

Hotel Beck

Overpriced.

Reviewed By Sebastien A

Plus: Hot water. Bed and pillow are clean and comfy. Restaurant is slow but the food is quite good. Minus: The room is long and narow, windows can't really open: it's more likea jail cell than a room. The TV was so far up the opposite wall that the remote wouldn't even work! Cable doesn't work anyways... WiFi signal is so low you need to go out of the room and walk near the recption to make it work. Mold in a few areas: washroom, curtains, walls, ceiling. Conclusion: for 125$/night, it is way overpriced. There are much better, cheaper hotels in Cap-Haitien!

Beau Rivage Hotel

Don’t Let the Name Fool You

Reviewed By sweetly_savage

Beau Rivage, the location is located on the main strip of Cap surrounded by a few decent restaurants. However, in terms of service you have to stay on the staff because they can be quite lazy. Not having electricity during the day is typical for Haiti. They do offer breakfast which was decent with two options a day. Overall, it’s better restaurants in Haiti to stay at. I wouldn’t recommend this one for the price.

Beautiful Place, but Lacking Service

Reviewed By Beleenne D

Super beautiful place. But, owners and employees can definitely use some coaching and training about customer service. They didn't make us feel like we were in a "luxury resort" as advertised. The employees were not mean, by any means, but just didn't care. Things were not working as promised, and we were not told upon arrival. When we found out, we were giving excuses after excuses. Yes, I understand the situation in Haiti and a Haitian, but when I pay big $ for a few days of relaxation, I don't want to hear excuses about the country and why the hotel doesn't have things they advertised like working WIFI, a usable pool, working jet ski, and working TV. The owners and head Manager were extremely rude on the phone to the young lady, Sophia, who runs the place. They only care about money. They never asked about how our stay was going, but wanted to know if I was paying enough for my rides as we were having a countrywide gas shortage. Place also needs some TLC. It's a shame, because this place is beyond beautiful.
