Delightful, welcoming and unique hotel in Barranquilla
Reviewed By pnwneWe stayed here before our flight home, after ten days of non-stop birding in remote areas of Northeast Colombia. Though we were dusty and hot, we were welcomed warmly, our room was spacious enough to spread out and re-pack, and breakfast was delicious - including a tasty fruit we hadn't seen before, along with papaya and pineapple. The interior courtyard and hotel building are beautiful. The staff was sensitive to our intermediate ability to speak espańol, and helpful. With plenty of traffic, plan for 30-45 minutes to the airport. Our taxi charged 30K COP, about $10.

Reviewed By Martin ZPretty spartan, although relatively well-maintained. My shower had no head, just a pipe coming out of the wall, and only one towel was provided (for everything). Basically comfortable and breakfast (pretty good) was included. Staff were very nice and helpful. Nothing fancy for sure.

Economical option in non-touristy, urban area
Reviewed By Sammybeans18The best part about this place was easily the staff--every single employee with whom I interacted was warm, kind, and extremely helpful. Yummy, simple breakfast included. Price was also excellent, and the room was quite spacious. Downsides: The room had been tidied but it wasn’t super clean. There was a fairly sizeable ball of hair and detritis on the floor that maybe wafted out from under the bed, and my feet got dirty if I walked on the floor with no shoes. Also, the room had great AC, but there was no blanket on the bed, only a thin top-sheet. Also, no hot water, but I think that's standard in a Colombian lower-budget hotel. The kindness of the staff made up for that other stuff, though. Really nice people working there.

Reviewed By r0berth209Hotel Suite Dorado on Cra 42f is a clean and relatively comfortable place to stay in Barranquilla. It is across the street from Confamiliar, two blocks from Parque Sagrado Corazón, and 3 blocks away from an Olympica 24 hour drugstore / minimart. Safe neighborhood to walk at night. Two bedroom suite had a queen and full sized bed in each room and two bathrooms (showers without significant hot water, hot water ok in the sinks). Beds were firm and comfortable but not luxurious. Staff were friendly and helpful but minimal Inglés. Water and sodas in the frig. Microwave oven. TV in each bedroom. Wifi is spotty and slow at the back end of the hotel where our room was (had to sit by the front door of our suite, not robust enough to handle my VPN for work). Breakfast was nice. Pool is clean and refreshing. Overall, decent place to stay for Colombianos or if you want to be in this part of town but not a tourist spot. Could use a little TLC as a few letters had fallen off of the hotel sign in front and the doors and closets had swollen wood that did not close easily.

Good place for the price
Reviewed By Carlos RThis is a hotel with normal facilities and fully equipped apartments. Other reviews have focused on the outdated infrastructure and furniture and it is true that things look a little overused but these reviews forgot to mention the good things. I stayed with friends and our apartment was okay. Our kitchen was decent and had everything we needed, our rooms had old cabinets and hard mattresses but nothing we could not handle and they were clean. Our living room had an old tv with basic analog service and old furniture but it was spacious. The overall look of the hotel is just fine and the pool area is nice. Staff were friendly, but that's expected in the Colombian Caribbean. Our breakfast was basic but with good flavors and quality. The internet was not reliable and in our case it stopped working two or three times in three days... Overall we had a good time in this place. It was not the ultimate hotel experience but the truth is that for the price we paid it was a good cost-benefit stay. I would totally stay there again on a later trip to Barranquilla.

Reviewed By Juan David MEste Hotel esta ubicado en el centro/ galería de Barranquilla, no hay vida nocturna o algún buen restaurante alrededor donde comer, siempre tienes que coger un taxi para donde sea. Se siente muy peligroso caminar por el area durante la noche o día. El servicio fue muy regular y la habitación no esta amplia para desempacar una maleta grande. También el internet solo funcionaba en las zonas comunes. Desafortunadamente no volvería a quedarme aquí.
