Reviewed By ylime79Perfect! We had the place for ourselves. The owner is lovely and extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast, lunch and diner are offered with set meal of the day and at a very affordable price if you need. Quiet, clean and peaceful. We had monkeys climbing the trees out the back in the morning and there's hammocks there to lounge in. We got a room with a private bathroom and it was in the newer building in rear. There is many places to eat in town and just down the street a local, public bbq happens every night. I suggest gathering there to meet people from all over. I heard more than once that people didn't want to leave Puerto Nariño and I was one of them.

A different Valentine's treat
Reviewed By Quest57942856364We decided to do something different this year and chose Yurupary for its more central location. The hotel is charming, our room was large and overlooked the swimming pool. The bed was very comfortable. Only one plug meant there was a lotof changing over of phone chargers! Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the pool. The offering is rather basic, to be honest. The Amazon is full of fruit, and I was surprised there wasn't more on our breakfast plates. While we were there the bar was being remodelled which did cause some noise and dust. Our biggest headache was the wi-fi, but then it's a big big problem in the region. If you need to stay in touch, it is something to bear in mind. When we come back to Leticia, this is the only hotel we'd consider.

Reviewed By jolag526We stayed here for 4 nights and found it a lovely base from which to explore Puerto Narino and around. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a fan to keep cool. The receptionist was especially friendly and helpful. Although she only spoke Spanish she spoke clearly and slowly and always checked to make sure we understood what she was saying. We also had dinner in the hotel one night and the food was delicious! My only suggestion for improvement would be to provide more variety for breakfast (not just scrambled eggs every day, although it was tasty!).

They were available to give us information about the village and the different tours we can do in the area (go see pink dolphins, fish and swim in the amazon, hike in the primary forest, etc. You can stay there without any doubt!

Reviewed By Sherpa742469This was definitely our favorite place that we stayed at during our trip to Colombia. The family that owns this place was so welcoming and friendly. Even though my boyfriend and I did not speak Spanish, they were still so warm to us and accommodating. It sort of felt like a homestay but you still got privacy and space! The food that the woman (I feel so horrible for not remembering her name because she was so lovely!) cooked was our favorite that we had during our trip! The property itself is absolutely stunning that is right on the amazon river and the property has dogs, cats, chickens, rooster, and a turkey! We booked a couple tours through them and loved them and also got to meet the local people that way! Keep in mind that since this place is a bit off the grid, there is no wifi and a couple times the electricity shut off but we did not mind, it felt like a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of Leticia. I wish I could've expressed how much I appreciated their hospitality, I truly would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful stay! - Sarah and Robinson, USA

Truly the worst place I have stayed in 40 years of travelling
Reviewed By Liketotravel30While the rooms are large the screens are all ripped, a serious issue in the Amazon, the bathrooms are outside the rooms, there are no toilet seats and the sinks are filthy and filled with insects. The swimming pool hasn't functioned in six years and is sitting with algae water and dead insects and filled with mosquitos. To get on land from your boat requires sinking into swamp mud, not even any wooden planks to walk along. And the dining hall has not a single screen so you can only image the insects flying around.

A place to relax and absorb the Amazon. It’s 5 or 6 miles from Leticia but local buses run up and down the road all day until about 6pm. Then there is the usual tuk tuk or taxis. A veritable haven after the madness of Leticia. You can do your own catering and use their fridge or there’s a few restaurants within walking distance. Enjoy!

Reviewed By Go09917Zuruma Hotel is a clean, well-managed hotel with an excellent staff. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, and the common areas are well-maintained and provide opportunities to relax in the pool area or to watch sporting events with other guests. The hotel is secure and one can also watch television, read, or prepare for work activities in one’s room without being disturbed by outside noise. A large and very good breakfast is served each morning and coffee, tea, and water is always available. This hotel says it provides guests with the comforts of home, and this statement is true. The hotel is well located in an area a short walk from the center of Leticia and there are many restaurants and shops nearby. I have visited Leticia several times and I highly recommend this hotel for people spending time in Leticia. It is a first-class accommodation.
