Reviewed By Voyager00172094321Ein Frühstück welches seinesgleichen sucht ein tolles Zimmer (Zimmer 5), ein sehr schöner Saunabereich und super liebes und freundliches Personal. Die Altstadt ist in 5 Gehminuten zu erreichen! Das sorgte für einen rundum gelungenen Kurztrip! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Reviewed By Sunshine28_12Very friendly staff, great location in the centre of town, excellent breakfast. However, the rooms are each individually themed (e.g. a library, a pastor's room and some even more random themes) and some feel slightly cramped or dark because of all the extras (e.g. bookshelves with lots of books) so perhaps not a choice for those looking for a standard luxurious hotel. Also a number of the "double rooms" do not in fact have double beds (some of them have twin beds which are separated).

Tolle Unterkunft in schöner Umgebung
Reviewed By Axel BMitten in der Tangermünde Altstadt liegt das Hotel und Brauereigelände. Besonders zu empfehlen ist der elbgarten mit seinem Sitzmöglichkeiten und einen schönen erhöhten Blick auf den Tanger und die Elbe. Auch das angeschlossene Museum lohnt einen Besuch. Die Menschen im Hotel und im Servicebereich sind ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Super Frühstück, Zimmer mit Bad gemütlich und sauber
Reviewed By Nick PWie immer ein tolles Wochenende in der Pension verbracht. Frau Lange hat uns mit ihrem tollen Frühstück wieder einmal verwöhnt. Die Zimmer mit Bad waren super. Die Einrichtung ist farblich gut abgestimmt. Wir haben nichts vermisst und empfehlen die Pension gerne weiter. Die Preise der Übernachtung sind für jeden erschwinglich. Das Frühstück ist mit 4,- Euro super super günstig und mit keiner anderen Pension vergleichbar. Es ist mit ehrlicher Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Kaffe soviel wie man möchte.

Fabulous hospitality and location
Reviewed By Amanda WWe stayed for 5 nights for a family wedding. The staff were all super friendly and attentive and nothing was too much bother, they even did our washing which was appreciated as we had been travelling for a while before we got there. Some rooms are more spacious than others, number 3 is a particularly nice corner room. It was very clean and had comfortable beds. They have a wonderful outside decked area with full meal and bar service - perect in mild weather. We opted for the German breakfast each morning of boiled eggs, cold cuts of hams, cheeses with bread rolls and jams, orange juice, tea and coffee. Scrambled eggs and bacon are also availabke. There are great nearby restaurants. This has the best location in Gardelegen as it sits on the town square so great for people watching and market place activities. Nearby the little shops are very interesting (no chain stores to spoil the ambiance) and filled with fabulous stuff with helpful, friendly shop owners. Gardelegen is a fabulous and interesting old Hanseatic, walled city with obvious town pride and definitely worth a look if travelling in the Altmark region for a true German experience.

Reviewed By Peter SWhat a find to stay in a spacious clean and welcoming farmhouse. Our room was part of a suite that was not used and very quiet so that we slept really well. The breakfast was more than ample with a wide choice of rolls, ham, and different jams from those we have in England. Would like to return and see how the barns are used.

Reviewed By Paul JStayed in this hotel when cycling the Elbeweg recently. Comfortable hotel with good breakfast and very helpful owner. Hotel situated in a lovely old fashioned town near the river. This part of Germany a great discovery on our trip.

Hotel ok, Restaurant schlecht!
Reviewed By reisendeperson123Hotel im 80er Jahre Stil, aber sehr sauber und gute Matratzen. Das Restaurant im Hotel kann ich nicht empfehlen! Ich hatte ein Schlemmertopf bestellt und das Tk-Gemüse war noch roh und lauwarm, die Bratkartoffeln ebenso. Das Essen wurde in einem gusseisernen Pfännchen serviert dieses war ebenfalls nur lauwarm! Heiß hätte es eventuell geschmeckt.

Disappointing and unhelpful
Reviewed By helen tWe stayed for three nights at the end of July, in a party of nine.We were the only ones of our group to be given a room in the main building. The room was allegedly a double, although the beds were separated by a wardrobe and half the bathroom, so seeing your partner was difficult, let alone having a conversation. The beds were squashed in under the eaves, which made sitting up in bed impossible. In fact, the eaves took up so much of the room that my tall(ish) husband could only stand up in the middle. Our main complaint is that the restaurant , bar and beer garden were all closed, apparently because the owners had gone on holiday, and that we were given virtually no information. The man who showed us to our room promptly disappeared, and, apart from two women serving breakfast we saw no other staff. The hotel was completely locked up for the rest of the day and evening. Coming back from our first evening out in the town, we couldn't find out how to get in to the hotel, and had to find a friendly German to help us work the esoteric lock. The bathroom was clean and light, but the shower didn't work properly. It kept shifting from hot to cold, but there was nobody we could tell. There was no information in the room, apart from the wi-fi code - eg. breakfast and checkout times. Our room was at the front corner, directly opposite a chruch bell which struck every fifteen minutes, and gave an extra wake up peal at 7.00 am. A more distant church joined in, a couple of seconds later. Obviously, not the fault of the hotel as such, but there was no staff for us to ask for another room. We resent paying for facilities which were not available (bar, restaurant, beer garden) and wrote immediately to the owners by e mail and snail mail, in German. We have still not had the courtesy of any response from them, hence this negative review.
