Reviewed By kccook24Had a fantastic holiday, resort had everything you could want. Gardens and public areas immaculate, room very comfortable modern and clean. Bar and Restaurant staff were excellent, thanks to the central bar team, who were very helpful and always smiling. Animation team worked endless hours, very professional. Even though the hotel is aimed at Italian and French speakers, 95% of the staff were more than happy to speak a little English, only issue was the excursions were only available in French or the Italian and therefore we didn't get to see much of wonderful Sicily on this trip. Special thanks to Antoinella (central bar) Raul and Max (animation and tennis coach) and Julia from reception who took time to explain how everything worked. Two points to consider, restaurant was a bit hectic, would benefit from allocating the same table at all meal times especially with the current Covid situation. Checkin could be better and time taken to explain the resort/map/facilities. Great value for money, would love to return in 2022.

Not far from Siracusa and Catania, Brucoli Resort is situated amongst lush flora and tall palm trees that give it a sub tropical feeling. The modern Mediterranean style building is made up of a central body with different wings, of one or two stories. This allows the building to be pleasantly emerged in the surrounding green park which slopes gently down towards the sea.

Reviewed By brayster99I wanted to treat my wife and I by booking a delux room with a sea view. The room has a tiny window and a garden balcony which if you exit and walk a bit you can see the sea in the distance. The room was stuffed with 4 beds and left no actual room for walking or opening the balcony door for example. The village is just a huge tourist trap. No delux. No sea view. After complaining we were offered an upgrade but frankly it was late and I’m sure the “upgrade” would be equally disappointing. It’s a bit like an up market Butlins.

A wonderful holiday
Reviewed By RMH613We stayed in this truly exquisite resort earlier this month. We really appreciated the personalised welcome upon arrival with a glass of prosecco and intro to the resort with a tour to our room. The grounds are lovingly manicured and picture perfect. Our villetta was also perfectly maintained and the views from the terrace, beautiful. We sampled all of the restaurants, each of which provided a great standard and variety of food. During the day the riva bar by the sea is a must and at sunset, the Palazzo terrace restaurant is delightful (you need to book for the latter). The staff genuinely seem to love their jobs and are so friendly and helpful. The GO’s put on a great show in the evening, what a talented bunch! We saw a Bridgerton themed performance and a Queen tribute act while there. There is a dress code in the eve that is recommended which we initially wondered how many people would actually adhere to - it turned out to be quite fun with most people joining in, though it’s not overly serious. There is a helpful path just outside the entrance to the resort which leads you straight down some steps and along the beach promenade to Cefalu town (est 20-30 min walk)- definitely worth a trip. Also, if you just need a few essentials, there’s a pretty decent supermarket just over the road from the resort. I read a few reviews highlighting that this is a very French resort, exercise classes in French, language spoken in restaurant etc. Indeed it is - as Brits we were one of very few non French guests, which, given our French is not fluent, did make it a little challenging for us to understand a few things at times. But, that’s our fault for not speaking another language fluently! It did mean we had to brush up a bit on that. Thank you very much to the team at Club Med Cefalu for a lovely holiday.

Reviewed By sthldntravelerWe arrived today and so far are disappointed with the hotel. One of the biggest issues is that it is impossible to get reservations in the restaurants. We have 7 nights here and have managed to obtain 1 booking, leaving us with 6 nights at the buffet. This js simply not acceptable and leaves us planning to get taxis to go to Cefalu for dinner, less than ideal with a 2 year old. The hotel should NOT advertise 4 restaurants when they are impossible to access. Aside from this the beach is in need of some major TLC, very scruffy and unkept. The rooms are fine and have been modernised but only inside; as soon as you step outside the hotel looks tired. On the positives the food in the buffet is quite reasonable although it’s very busy at dinner time. The staff in general are helpful and friendly. Not a 5* experience by any means.

Hotel seems also provides shuttle to the site return for a fee of 10 EUR. To the sandy beach just walk five minutes. Hotel has secure and free car parking and a swimming pool. The hotel restaurant also provides delicious local food. Highly recommended. The staff at both reception and restaurant are very friendly and helpful. When we complained about the party noise on the same floor, they immediately changed our room to another floor, a quiet place. THANK YOU! The hotel room is clean and spacious, but the wall's sound isolation needs to be improved.

Specal thanks to Nunzio chef of restaurant!! Grazie mille!! I recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to relax and enjoy in diversity of great Sicilian coast and culture.

Lovely but room for improvement - 3½ stars rating
Reviewed By kirstym499We booked this as a family holiday through TUI and some of the photos - especially of the pool area and gym - are incorrect/ misleading. The pool areas are lovely though, but the photos aren't correct (there's no island in the middle of the pool for example). Also - the restaurant photos are taken of the paid restaurant, not the basic buffet restaurant which is where you go if you're all inclusive, as we were. I wouldn't rate it more than a 3. We did think most of the food was lovely though - very fresh and particularly italian - considering the huge amount of guests they had to cater for, it was very well run kitchen and staff were very helpful around the dining areas! You did have to get there close to opening times to get all the good food though, we went late one lunch and there was alot that wasn't available. Most of the staff were lovely and friendly although most can't speak much english so just be aware of that if you're only english speaking. We did try some basic italian greetings etc but not very successfully! One of the staff around the pool was particularly grumpy and quite rude to alot of guests - and couldn't speak any english at all but would come over to us and tell us off (we didn't realise as soon as we finished any drinks that we had to go and throw our plastic cups away straight away - sometimes we hadn't even finished them and he was over telling us off) - he got very stressed if anyone tried to move sunbeds together (bigger families etc) Don't take your gym gear, the gym was truly awful - run down, old equipment and some of it didn't work (the one treadmill they had didn't work!) - also only opens at 10am - pointless if you want a workout before breakfast! Rooms were basic and clean with good airconditioning and cleaned daily.

We use only products from our crops, local products and Sicilian Slow Food (Pistacchio from Bronte, lentils from Ustica, Sicilian black bee honey, seasalt of Trapani, red garlic from Nubia, Vastedda cheese from Valle del Belice, black porc from Nebrodi, etc). You can taste different rustic appetizers (olives, panelle, caponata, cheese, cold cuts and other specialities) our "busiate", fresh typical hand-made pasta of Trapani area; main corses with meat choice; side dishes with vegetables from our crops. New entry in our menu: Pizza! Slow leavening (24h), "Antichi Grani Siciliani" biological flour and others local biological flour (Molini del Ponte from Castelvetrano) for a crisp and tasting pizza of choice.
