Cheap, poor dirty, RUSSIAN
Reviewed By Richard DI and my family stayed in First Class Hotel Alayna for one week starting on the 24th September 2016. We arrived late evening closely followed by other family members ten of us in total. Walking up to the hotel everything looked ok, however we were met by a receptionist that was rude very rude in fact. We checked in and were escorted to our room; my family was made up of four two adults’ two children when we entered the room only three beds, a double and a single plus a tatty old sofa. I returned to reception and explained there is four of us to be met with one of the children has to bunk up on the sofa, I refused to do this and asked for a family room as that is what I had booked for four of us to be told all rooms are exactly the same three beds and a sofa so beware of that one. Food is ok here very in favor to Russian salad, chips, boiled eggs that look and taste if they have been boiled for a week, but the bread is the best thing. It is the same food everyday really whatever meat is left over from breakfast you will be sure to be having in some sort of stew for your lunch or even dinner made out of said meat. The all-inclusive drinks now this is a sticky point at this hotel, if you do not like cheap Vodka what can closely be compared with turps you are goosed. The beer is dreadful and I can normally have a few of anything but this stuff I have no idea what it is, it can only be described as a flat, sour, off homebrew. One crafty trick the hotel have done with the drinks is at the smelly, dirty pool bar all the alcoholic drinks are nonalcoholic or watered down, as the man behind the bar said they have had too much trouble. The hotel are aware that nobody goes to sit/drink in this bar on evening due to this that’s why they have the entertainment there, clever. The entertainment is all in Russian to be honest the entertainment we did see was the worst I have ever witnessed because it’s non-existent during the day and at night does not start until 10.00pm so the kiddies are all ready for bed. The beach is really nice across the busy road directly outside the hotel but there is a tunnel to it, look out for the guy that howls past every morning in his cement mixer at 5.10am as I promise he will wake you up along with all the other lorries flying past as this is a busy bust road. I almost forgot the noise from the "disco" if you like dreadful euro pop at ear drum bursting volume until 3-4am every morning this is the place for you, then to be followed by drunk Russians arriving to there rooms at this time shouting down the corridors you will be in your elemant. The swimming pools are ok, the slides are great for the kids but only two out of the three were working and we were told the other one is un safe, there is no ice cream for the kiddies while around the pool I am unsure if this is normally included in all inclusive in other hotels. All in all the hotel is rubbish I would rate it a 3 star at a push but the area is nice, I myself read all the reviews before attending reading everyone saying it’s all Russian etc. but I didn’t believe it thinking it won’t be that bad but believe me it is. I know some people complain for the sake of complaining but I can’t recommend enough to stay away from this hotel there is much better in the area, I know it’s cheap but for the same price there are much nicer nearer Alanya center. The bus takes about an hour to the center and when its red hot and there are people crammed on the bus its no fun.

Mediocre at best
Reviewed By jerry sI had booked our family vacation, mom dad two kids under ten, on a package deal, last minute. I liked that the place had two pools and a few waterslides and had it's own private beach, all meals and local alcoholic drinks (beer, wine (the worst wine!), and harder stuff) included. You really do get what you pay for. I can imagine for a family of very modest means, this could be a decent vacation. Almost everyone was Russian or Turkish. Nice people but very boisterous as a rule. They usually blasted pop techno music all day by the pools. At night, the nightly show ran until midnight, and the music was very loud. The food-the salads were very good and some of the chicken dishes were decent. Most of the other food you could see they cut corners and ordered cheap meat and bland cheeses, and this is unlike Turkey where you have some of the best food in the world. The place was rough around the edges, they defer maintenance to save costs. One slide for example, the big one, badly needed a new wax coating, everyone got stuck midway and had to walk the rest of the way down. Just one example. The beach there you could not swim in as the surf is rough, and you basically dodge the waves until you get bored. The facilities were again mediocre, three star, not four hotel. In addition, the hotel is not in Alanya, but Mahmutlar, a good 12 km from Alanya which has a decent beach (Kleopatra beach). Nothing to do in that town, except some local shopping and the market. I would never go back, either I would spend the money for a FIVE star hotel beach resort after thoroughly researching it on the internet or not at all. Going home was for us like getting out of jail. If your expectations are not high, you will not be disappointed, but if you want a really nice once a year vacation with an intelligent and interesting crowd, this is not anyplace you want to go to. The staff was not rude, however they are all pretty much indifferent. And this is unusual for Turkey, I have always found Turks to be very hospitable. It's the kind of place, not for individuals but for bus tours which turn over every few days. They just get jaded and it shows. Wifi was slow but available all over the hotel and the beach which was nice. Oh, almost forgot. They dumped a ton of chlorine in the pool, to the extent that my son's blue bathing suit was bleached almost white by the time we left. You cannot swim after 7 PM, which for us would have been great, as in the heat of the day it's noisy, hot, and the sun is brutal.

Reviewed By Jovyde JFirst of all, it was our honeymoon. We were sent to this hotel as an "upgrade" for Klas Dom. It was very disappointing, and it wasn't only our opinion. We had people in the hotel, that spent a few days in Klas Dom, and they said it all was better in there. So. The rooms. It wasn't too shabby, but the style was very old fashioned. Some 20 years ago it would have been a nice place to stay. The maids came in every day but the sheets weren't changed even once in 10 days. The toilet was cleaned only once. And once the door of the bathroom fell off. Well, at least we enjoyed the balcony and the air conditioner was working. The food. It wasn't too bad, considering the fact that we were eating in a nearby hotel (First Class 5*). However, we had to guess what we were eating, as there were no notes about the food, and if there was any, they were only in Turkish. The drinks. I need to mention here that we had UAI, where U stands for ULTRA. Thus, we expected plenty of everything. And we got close to nothing. The only proper drinks were tea and fresh water. No proper juice, just some crappy drinks from concentrate. Coffee tasted awful. And alcohol...the "many" choices that they had... Ugh... There were three bars: beach, pool and hotel. Beach bar offered only hot drinks and juice machine. Pool bar had only beer, raki, vodka and some local wine. It worked only a few hours a day and the barman wasn't very friendly. Now, the bar at the hotel... It had a few more drinks to offer, however, only one of three barmen knew how to make a proper cocktail of those few drinks that they offered... One of them kept on counting how many drinks everyone has and told us to stop drinking or start paying for our drinks (that's UAI for you)! And after 11pm you had to pay for the drinks... Right, the beach. It was pebbles. And big stones. So we had to enter the sea through a bridge leading to water and it was around 5 meters deep there. So no good for children. Overall, the evening programmes weren't very exciting. The staff wasn't too friendly. Most of the hotel guests were locals. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone...

Perfect spirit in an unhealthy body
Reviewed By arlessani58I stayed in the hotel for 6 nights in May 2022. I believe right at the beginning, we have to separate the hotel's construction and its staff. The construction is good, but the internet coverage in my room was practically zero. I had to use my mobile internet which ended in a few days. Also, there was too much noise in my room late in the evening because of the nearby disco. I had selected a land view room as I had heard sea-view ones are noisy. But it was still noisy and for a family with a kid, was a bit of issue. Apart from that, there was a small issue with making up the room, which was immediately addressed by the managers. These few things aside, the staff are unbelievably hospitable and friendly. My child enjoyed the game centre and we were welcomed always by a smile. The food is extraordinarily delicious and you can find various types of protein and other food. Desserts are so delicious you never want to stop eating. And of course, there are many sorts of it. The pool and other facilities are good. We had a few complaints which were swiftly addressed and that means the managers care about their customers. All in all, the personnel are perfect, but the hotel needs to redesign isolation and provide internet in rooms.

Disgusting Discrimination
Reviewed By 15silasrAbsolutely horrible experience with the staff. We are 5 danish guys on holiday and they wouldn't let us in due to our gender. They said if we could bring 2 girls it would be OK. However, they couldn't give us a proper explaination as to why they wouldn't let us in. Firstly they asked if we were russian, whereas we replied no. I understand the reason to deny russian guests, as the whole world is boycutting their country. Since this was not the case and this was only due to our gender I find this nowhere near acceptable, this is the highest level of discrimination. Absolutely disgusting experience. Will never visit again and recommend everyone not to visit.
