Iconic vacation
Reviewed By Cruiser07609626747This is our 2nd time coming here for a dreamed vacation. Last time, we were staying on the higher unit facing the ocean view. It was superb experience. This time around, we chose to stay in a garden suite since it’s nearer to the beach and pool. Despite of the late check-in (we had arrived early since our boat reached there around 11.55am, and the room was ready around 1.45pm, note that the normal checkin is 3pm), the rest of the experience was superb. The room was clean. The staffs were very friendly. The food was very delicious. We even got a dinner treat from the hotel for the ‘long waiting time for checkin’. They also included complimentary cocktail in the evening and free kayak session for adult. Kids are very happy to swim at the beach. Water is crystal clean. The view is also breathtaking. We could also watching the tourists releasing the sea turtle into the ocean. There was a fire show at night which were free to all visitors. Overall, this was even better experience than the previous visit during pandemic.

Reviewed By zulfarezarifIt was such a memorable memories with my friends. Stayed here 3d 2n. Receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable. Bar was quite bland maybe because of Covid19. I was impressed with their room preparation as they actually followed the SOP during pandemic, sanitised the whole room before we were given the key. Only the toilet was quite small but overall was okay. Will definitely bring my family next year !

Free and easy trip with everything nicely taken care of

Our luggage was ushered by the staff to the resort upon reaching and leaving. Good services. The itinerary was nicely coordinated. The food was good. Four meals per day, free flow. The resort was at the corner of the coastal line. Its dining area was built on top of rocks, offering beautiful sea views while dining. Many snorkelling trips were included in the package. The turtle trip was one of the highlights of the trip - worth the RM40 paid extra- as we managed to see and swim so closely with the turtles. The snorkelling guides were extremely friendly. Kudos to Jacky, he showed us around under the water, my friends and I had a very good time there. Compared to other resorts, the nightlife of the resort was chill and calm without loud music blasting. Overall Redang Reef is a very nice resort to stay for the price paid. *Friendly reminder: If you're visiting Redang, please keep the cleanliness of the beach and leave no trash behind =)

Reviewed By nurinnelJust came back from LanG Tengah for 3D2N. We were group of 3 staying at D'coconut Lagoon (west wing). The Island - there are only 4 hotels at the island and not all at the same beach. When you reached the island you will be seeing crystal clear water. D'coconut is situated at the other side of the island and you can walk (through the jungle - 5 mins walking) to visit the other resorts / beach. If you want to see baby sharks at night, head to Sari Pacifica's jetty ;) The hospitality - Mr Anuar greeted us upon arriving at the hotel lobby and the staff will helped you with your bags and luggage. The check in process was okay and Mr Anuar will give a short briefing on rules of the hotel and itinerary. The staffs there were very friendly and helpful. The room - we stayed in Cabana rooms. You can see the beach directly from your balcony. We purposely choose this room just for the view. Unfortunately, D'coconut should really pay attention to cleanliness of their resort. Our room was not entirely 'okay' with the price we paid. The bed was so sandy even under the duvet :/ The toilet did not cleaned properly. I think they do not have dedicated housekeepers to take care of the rooms. So we only used the room to sleep at night. The rest of the time, we spent our time outside. The food - they served buffet for all meal with limited choice. However, the food were incredibly delicious! Kudos to the chef and team. Your dining area will be facing the beach, something that you will be misisng once you are back. The beach - since the west wing of the resort only has limited number of rooms, you will hardly see people at the beach. As if you are at the private island. And the beach was so breezy and you will not be sweating because of the breeziness unlike like the other side of the island. You can also kayak if you want. The experience- on our first night, we were lucky we get to see the turtle laying 136 eggs. Tell Mr Anuar to inform you if there is a turtle coming to the island! At lang tengah it is a perfect place for stargazing and seeing blue tears along the beach. Ask the staff to show you around :) You wil get complimentary of 2 snorkeling trips together with the package you signed up. They will also bring you to see the baby sharks near the beach at the summer bay resort. Overall, we had the best time in Lang Tengah. Although it is a small island but you will get a handful of experience throughout your stay. If you are looking for a peaceful and serenity, you should definitely come here. From Redang, Pulau Perhentian this is by far the best island I have experienced.

Reviewed By Lulu_21xxStay here for 3D2N with my friends. This resort separated from the hectic side of the island. It is peaceful and calming. The surrounding was quiet. located on the hill. There is a secluded beach down the hill, can be visit by going down the stairs. Room was clean. Bed sheet clean and nicely done. The staff was nice and helpful. They help arrange for the activity package & massage for us. The resort was pretty busy, especially at breakfast.

The reservation process did not go through as smoothly as we hoped for, only after it was being highlighted to the Rooms Division Manager, we finally had it resolved amicably. We booked two Pool View rooms for 2 nights and we the rooms were spacious, clean and well kept. Housekeeping and Engineering staff

Fantastic Island but experience does not match the price paid

Logistics - no complaints, picked us up from the airport, did a rapid covid test and was then sent to the jetty, on return was flexible to change drop off elsewhere in town due to a later flight time. Not many options at KT airport. Covid -19 safety - initially was very good all luggage got disinfected before being put on boat, everyone had to do a rapid antigen test although was not closely supervised if at all. On the island though after the initial hour were quite lax. Rooms - got put in a room with a joined single beds, beds were too soft sometimes giving a feeling of tipping over and was also too low to the floor, amenities toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gels and shampoo is of low quality for the price charged otherwise just acceptable considering that we were on an island. F&B - Average, breakfast could use more options as do lunch, egg station needs to be better, scrambled eggs are more of an omellete, coffee was extremely watered down. Dinner was better but still could do with more variety especially if one is not too much into chinese cuisine, can be repetitive for longer stays. The 'mamak' was not much better espresso based drinks are of poor quality, barista needs better training. The seaview cafe/bar also deciding to blast songs from around noon onwards does not help with the peaceful/tranquil beach environment at all and ive seen guests trying to do some reading that had to move away not sure why the music was a good idea. Staff - mostly friendly but could use some language training. Was quite put off in the briefing where they just assumed everyone knew mandarin due to the arrivals being mostly chinese. Also staff not following their own advice, saw quite a number smoking in covered areas. Also during one afternoon staff apparently having a meeting on guest tables at seaview cafe which got quite loud which was very off-putting. Activities - the snorkelling was quite rushed and they basically just bring you to one point for 30 minutes or so with the other point being just walking distance from the resort. By comparison, the house reef was much better. Dive centre employees appear to be quite young which doesnt really inspire confidence, boatmen were good though. Passed on the chance to go diving personally. Will i return - probably not, the island is fantastic really and we had alot of fun exploring the island by ourselves but unfortunately or fortunately for the resort the competition on the island suffer from horrible management and looks run-down. So there is not many options in Lang tengah unless you dont mind a really crap room.

The resort have 45 sea frontage villas, comprising of 2 suites, 4 hideaway Villas, 4 Premier Villas and 35 water villas. All villas are equipped with air conditioning and king sized beds with aside lounger. All villas have a balcony with a swing chair for your convenience. Villas are all ensuite with a toilet and shower room. The resort is built on the ridges of the coastline, thus preserving the hills and its natural physical formation. There is a main beach and 2 other smaller beach for your private use. There is a restaurant where all meals are served there. Seaport facilities like kayaking and snorkelling are also available. Guided snorkelling is also available upon request with minimum of 4 pax. Airport transfer can be arrange upon request with some charges. Thank you and hope to see you in Gem Island soon.

The rooms are simple but all with beautiful views over the sea and you can relax and watch blacktip reef sharks swim by from your balcony! You can hire kayaks and paddle around the island or across to Kapas. The corals around the island are not the best but there are lots of fish and often blacktip reef sharks if you swim across the channel. A perfect spot to chill out for a few days. The food is ok but not amazing. They need to improve their vegetarian options.

Worth to Stay
Reviewed By Ng KThe room is clean and tidy. The price of the room is affordable and reasonable. The people there are very helpful and friendly. What I like the most is the decoration of the ship in front of the resort because it is unique and you could take some pictures as memory! The dinner is barbecue and it is well prepared but I prefer hand on to make it by myself. It is a good place to have a short trip there!
