Reviewed By Angela FWe only stayed for one night but wish it had been for longer. This is one of the best hotels we've stayed at in New Zealand - what a gem. Although the price per night was a bit more than we would normally want to pay, it was worth every penny. We were given an upgrade on arrival and the Suite we were given was fantastic. Hotel was centrally located with access easy to the beach and town centre. We would definitely stay here again when next in New Plymouth.

The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Family friendly, lovely pool and area for kids to play. Will be staying here again on next visit.

It is a four star plus property with units ranging from studio units to two berdoom family units. Every unit has 32in tv & dvd player, is air-conditioned and has spa baths.

Reviewed By Bev E3 couples Stayed overnight in three seperate units while attending a funeral. Couldn’t get into units till 2.00. Nice and close to restaurants for easy walk. Unit was upstairs and had to lift luggage up two sets stairs. Unit was clean but needing renovating. Had a shower over bath which is hard if you have hip/knee/back issues Bed lovely and comfy but a lot of road noise, Supplied with milk and tea/coffee but no salt and pepper Ordered full cooked breakfast great price but arrived only warm and the two fried eggs were broken and burnt as was bacon, scrambled eggs and beans were great. Would I stay again or recommend, Definitely not.

Great Little Motel
Reviewed By WalesNZ88Can’t really fault this motel. There isn’t a great deal of accomodation in town, and sometimes with little competition, the standards can fall. Luckily this isn’t the case for Antonio Mews. Very comfortable beds, a 5-10 minute walk from the shops and restaurants in town, and Netflix in the rooms. A great stay here.

Reviewed By that_some_kiwiThe service was well done, and the room was well maintained. With it being one of the rooms closest to one of the main roads of the town, there wasn't as near as much noise I thought would be heard. The layout of was well thought with the furniture in there.

Then got text to advise there would be no one to check us in, so to call on arrival, and my credit card has been charged because there will be no one there when we arrive... Not ideal, but fair enough. On arrival we found our room was on the other side of a locked gate, about 50 meters away. A long distance to carry gear off motorbikes. But the main thing that infuriated me was being told they would not supply towels - DUE TO COVID!!!! But there are sheets, pillow cases, duvet on the bed! (Surely a worse potential spreader of Covid if you have such lousy laundry standards). And cutlery in the communal kitchen. Super spreader potential more than any towel. Room very old and musty. Certain the duvet hasn't been laundered in years. Shared toilets, showers etc. very old and unkempt. Felt very grotty. Only "eco" thing about this place seems to be the avoidance of detergents. We stayed for 2 nights only because my card had been charged before we got there, and I was not at all co didn't I would have been refunded if we reduced our stay. For the desperate only.

After travelling around for a week in different motels it was lovely to find yet another quality place to stay. We had booked another motel and arrived to find it wasn’t quite like the photos and decided to find another place to stay. We were lucky enough o get a booking at the Devon and very pleased we did. We have now booked for a weeks stay there early next year. There were four of us in the group and everyone was happy, we had dinner in the Marbles restaurant which will never disappoint. Such a wonderful choice of delicious food, European, Asian, Indian, and the best range of seafood.
