Went here with the guys from the committee I was part of at the time. The service and food is exceptional. Good selection of drinks too. If you are a regular you can get a loyalty card with 15% discount. Would definitely recommend

Visited here on Friday evening after being recommended by someone. We was extremely impressed. The service received from the minute we walked in was exceptional. The manager was welcoming and very friendly, food was lovely! I had the Tawa and a king cobra! Which I also recommend. Very impressed. And will be back soon.

I visited here with my business partner on the 3rd February this year. They were fully booked, but thankfully accommodated us later in the evening, after we explained we were travelling for 3 hours and were staying down the road at the Hayloft in Haunton...MoreWow - thankyou so much for such an amazing review !! I will pass your comments on to all staff concerned and of course our butcher who supplies us such fantastic meat - many thanks again and we'll see you next year .

We visited Portobello Restaurant for a group of 10 people on a Friday evening and the restaurant was busy.
On arrival a warm welcome was made by a waitress, and was happy to recommend dishes and interact with the group for advice. All food was presented nicely, on time for the big group which is important and was tasty. All the group enjoyed, and believe the selection, quality and service is of good value.

We went on a cold Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed the warm and cosy atmosphere. We shared some garlic bread to start then I had pasta, my wife mushrooms, both good accompanied by a glass of pinot grigio. I then had swordfish steak and she had a lamb shank, again both delicious. We shared a bottle of Primitivo which is our favourite Italian wine which we first had here. Finally profiteroles for her and tiramasu for me before we left fully satisfied after a really lovely evening. We will be back again and again.

Visited on 1st December for our friends wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect and really well put together, credit to the owners. Food was amazing and great selection of drinks which were reasonably priced. Came back the next day for breakfast which was pretty good too.

Visited here for a family celebration.
Lovely Restaurant in the centre of Tamworth. Nice modern and inviting exterior. Inside was the same and gives you a feeling of being in a classy restaurant.
The service was very attentive and orders of drinks and food was taken in good time.
The food was excellent and could not fault it. Although may be a tad on the expensive side.
Would be somewhere id go on a special occasion but probably not regular due to the prices.
All in all a lovely modern a la carte restaurant.

Landlady, Georgina had warned our leader that, due to having to re-equip and re-staff, she could 'only' offer "soup and sandwiches". Some of us had made plans to go elsewhere after our 6-mile walk but changed our minds when we saw the very decent 'improvised' menu! A choice of two veggie-compatible soups and about ten varieties of baguettes and other variations upon the concept of 'sandwich'. The soups were excellent, the meat-eaters declared the sausage sandwiches excellent; (sausages from a local supplier). Without the help (yet) of a chef, Georgina strove to provide really good food and only slightly erratic service. The beers were in excellent condition. The 'new' Queens Head can only get even better under Georgina's enthusiastic leadership. Also, this lovely old pub is kept very clean and its toilets, in particular, are modern and very clean.

Took my friend for her birthday,staff friendly and seated us quickly. Not sure if the cakes were made or brought from a supermarket but delicious either way. Great value,plenty of food for us.
