This branch of Adyar Ananda Bhavan is located at the Trichy Tindivanam High Way, on the way to Thanjavur.. Near to Sastra College Thanjavur.. Good Location.. Car parking facility is available...Decent and a clean restaurant... Good ambiance and good service.Food is also good and cost is reasonable.Only one thing is that this restaurant does not have their own Rest Rooms... being shared with other shops/hotel in the same building...

Ambience , location , service , cleanliness , presentation , attitude of servers = 10 /10 .Food taste = 8 / 10.(Tried both veg thali & continental my children)Cost = 5/10 . It is really exorbitant for the veg thali as all the dishes are good in taste nothing very special . They have to bring down thali prices by half at least (it is Rs.1200/)

Near old bus stand, one of the good Vegetarian hotel is Vasantha Bhavan, an ancient hotel, now standing renovated. Good tiffin items for breakfast and dinner. Lunch time is too crowded. Parking is almost nil being on the main road. For good tiffin, other things can be put up with. Very reasonable prices.

Extensive menu of Indian, Chinese and Continental dishes, all at a very reasonable price. Open from 6am to 11pm with both buffet selections and ala carte from the menu. They also provde room service around the clock. Highly recommend the food and the restaurant staff.

Highly recommended by locals and tourists alike, this non veg restaurant is famous for chicken and Mutton Biriyani. There are both chicken and Mutton side dishes to go with main Biriyani and portions are quite large, so can easily be shared. Reasonable price. For good food, rude waiters and unclean floors can be tolerated. Location just opposite to new bus stand is an advantage.

My lovely wife and I popped in here for a quick bite to eat one evening. It's a brightly lit, clean place just opposite the new bus stand. We'd had a large lunch so didn't want a big meal. The masala dosa hit the spot nicely. The accompanying sambar and chutneys were very tasty. Good value at 60 rupees each. The place is, however, awash with overly eager staff. I honestly have no idea why they need quite so many of them! It would have been nice to have been given a bit more space but I guess they were just being friendly. Maybe they were making a big effort just for us as I'm guessing that they don't get too many foreign visitors. Worth a visit if you are staying nearby or are waiting for a bus.

We ate lunch here in the veg. restaurant (there is also a non-veg restaurant) after visiting the temple. Unprepossessing modern hotel with equally unimpressive but very vleandining room, but the food was very good, brought promptly and by charming waitresses and great value. We had two lime juices, my wife had tomato soup - which was not out f a tin and I had veg thali. The bill came to under 400 Rupees

Pretty famous as per online reviews, and quite popular considering many people visit. Menu has several pages and it's quite confusing to decide since they serve practically every cuisine on earth. Food is average, but quite unexpected in Thanjavur. They have an excellent bakery on the ground floor which has a wide variety of cakes, pastries, bread and other baked goods.
