I went there for lunch with my family, husband and son, we all had starters, mains, salads and dessert. The quality of the food is excellent, the chef is actually Italian, so it doesn't really get any more authentic than this if you like Italian food. They use quality ingredients, some of which they source from Italy and have a good selection of very nice wines. If you decide to sit inside the restaurant, they have a beautiful converted cellar, great for romantic dinners! I can only recommend this restaurant, I'll definitely be returning!

Our son got married here and the reception was in the amazingly beautiful cellar. Eighty people at one table, amazing food and great wine and Palinka, dancing till the wee hours. Guests were able to stay overnight as well. Breakfast and lunch was good and the strudel excellent. The staff were extremely accomodating. A really lovely spot.

You'll find it in a strange place between bunk houses, but in inside it has a friendly atmosphere, our waiter was polite, waitress was a little wordless. There was only one kind of new '14 rose wine as cold as it needs, it was a little surprise in a wine region. We get little pizza breads with parmezan, garlic and oil soon after arriving, it was nice. I tryed the Angus tenderloin carpiacco de Lomo, and that was the best part of my dinner, it was fantastic, maybe the best carpiacco in my life. All of us ate steaks after the starters, everybody liked it, my Angus New York Strip (medium) with mashed potatoes was a little bit tough. Desserts are average, my panceke was nothing special. The place was full, it seems that the locals like it very much. Prices are average except the meats which are overpriced, so the price/value isn't the best.

We had a great time visiting this restaurant. The staff was very nice and friendly, the food is amazing, if you like traditional hungarian food. It tends to be a bit fatty (for example we got served a actually fat with bread as a starter).
This restaurant is a must location if you are in the neigbourhood.

Inside Merops Hotel, the newest structure in this very small city, it looks very nice and modern. Turning to the food I had a poor experience, do not know what to reccomend. Service was ok.

We responded to the friendly staff and stopped at one of their outdoor tables for lunch. We had good service and food straightforward food. We enjoyed watching the world go by as lunch settled. There was no rush to move us on and we stayed for ice cream and coffee.

this is a just a perfect place for coffee, good offering, also some specials like the tiramisu capuccino with a special zayone - or something like this:) - sauce on top.
a perfect choice for the mornings!!!
(it is not in downtown Szekszard, rather along a road leading south out of the town)

Every year when we are visiting the area, this restaurant is our first choice. My husband is from Szekszard, so we visited most of the restaurant in this lovely town, and Aranykulacs is my favourite! Always a great service, and amazing quality food. Extremely generous portions, so we are never able to finish it. It's up the hill so it requires a small walk up, but the pint of nicely chilled beer is more than worth it. Beef tartar- the best I had in my entire life!
