Went to Bistro Gentil last night with friends to celebrate my husbands birthday and had a wonderful night. The staff were absolutely lovely and nothing was too much trouble, they were very accommodating with the surprise cake I had made and did not charge cakeage as we all had desert as well as cake. The food was simply delicious, I absolutely loved the salmon entree and the steak I had for main was perfectly cooked and just like a little meat muffin....so tender. We have friends visiting from out of town in August so Iâm just about to make another booking, I know theyâll love it.

We popped into the shop to look for some wine and we were both very pleasantly surprised to find that there was a little bar that you could sit and relax with a beer or 2 along with some tapas. There is a fantastic selection of beer, cider, wine and spirits and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. We would definitely go back againWe are delighted that you stumbled upon us and are grateful for your review. We love our cosy relaxing atmosphere with personal service and have lots of plans for improvements over the coming months. So I stumbled upon this gem in the heart of wanaka. And not only has it got an array of different drinks available, it has the best bar staff, a girl called Sarah? I think.She recommended me the best whisky I have ever had, dalwinne. She knew her product and not only this made the rest of my night just perfect. Brilliant place brillent staff. 10/10 would recommend.

Good friendly service, good food and caters for all sorts. We went to watch a rugby game and owner was most helpful putting the right channel on with some volume for us as it was not a test or top level game.
