Restaurant VOC

Restaurant VOC is situated in the historical city center of Delft. The ideal place to enjoy a good glass of wine in our garden, or a cup of coffee at the bar. During diner we serve French cuisine dishes with a modern twist.

This lovely restaurant at one of the oldest canals in Delft has a perfect outdoor seating area. The dishes are well balanced and the service is very nice. I recommend the chef's menu. I'll get a four-course meal with all the great food this restaurant has to offer.

We visited this recently opened restaurant in the centre of Delft and were not disappointed. Finally a restaurant with a bright, airy modern, comfortable space and design. The cuisine did not disappoint either. Creative fish and meat dishes nicely prepared and presented. This restaurant sets itself apart from many of the other "better" restaurants in Delft. The wines were fine but a wider list of upscale choices would be appreciated. The service was professional and friendly. All in all definitely recommended.

This historical venue is a brick, vaulted ceiling treasure. Previously a town square weighing centre (1300s). We sat at a table on the raised floor. The service was good and the food lovely. The portions were generous. The dish of the day and dessert were good value, although not as expected! The pork steak looked more like a ham hock, but it was tasty.

Went here on a nice Saturday with friends. It was nice as we had toddlers with us. They have an outdoor seating which meant the kids can go to the grassy area by the lake to run around while we were waiting for our food. They also accommodated patrons with guests who were there to rest after a walk around the lake. The food was good. The sandwiches and salads for lunch were well prepared.

I trusted the TripAdvisor comments and went there with my wife. It was fabulous! We took the 5 services surprise menu with wine pairing. A little bit pricey but definitely worth it. We will go back for sure! The place is top as well (old Dutch style farm).

Restaurant Capriole Cafe

Restaurant and coffee roastery in The Binckhorst in The Hague. Open every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday for breakfast, coffee, lunch and dinner.

I actually came across Capriole via Google as I wasn't totally sure about restaurant reviews on TripAdvisor. Menu is limited as compared to other places that I've been. And that allows Capriole to horne their skills in these dishes. We had the chicken burger, pulled pork sandwich, salad and mackerel sandwich. They were all very tasty. Coffee was pretty decent as well. But I'd say it's more tweaked to the Dutch way of enjoying coffee. I like mine thicker and more robust. We were staying with friends in Den Haag, and the one thing is that you will need your own transport to get to Capriole. I didn't manage to see any bus stops in the vicinity. Overall a very nice place to chill and catch up with friends.

I've come here a couple of times and it's really nice. Be careful that it gets super busy on the weekends. It's nice that they can seat so many people but not so nice if they can't help you when you need service.

Where to start? OK, the people!!! Outstanding service! Warm, professional team is so on top of their game that star restaurants could learn from them - concentrated, coordinated delivery of an incredible experience that is above and beyond - calming and friendly! The food is superlative in every way - fresh and exotic components in creative combinations that are delicious and yet accessible (without being pretentious or needlessly complex). The presentations were consistently beautiful, accommodated allergies by adding rather than deleting ingredients and were all caringly explained (not the usual robotic citations). We were so glad we took the surprise menu as it was surprisingly wonderful, course by course throughout the evening, not to mention the many thrilling and refreshing amuses in between. The Greek influence is apparent across dishes but is very subtle, leaving space for a fusion experience par excellence!
