Certified Italian Fine Dinning Osteria And Wine Enoteca Operated By Headchef Tommaso Franchin And Sommelier Claus Pichner
This is an exceptionally well-managed restaurant, with great attention to the details. The food is creative and well-prepared. It's a nice combination hub Italian and danish cuisine. The service is impeccable, formal without being stuffy. Klaus, the owner, seems to be everywhere at once, doing whatever he can to make his guests comfortable. The Wine Cellar is impressive. My only suggestion would be to make the menu a bit more extensive. There were few choices for non-meat eaters when we went. Adding some pasta dishes would be nice. Prices are expensive, but I don't know if they are out of line with other similar restaurants in Denmark.

If you are visiting Denmark and find yourself taking a trip to the countryside of North Sealand you might want to pay a visit to Gerlev Kro, a country inn or auberge in the old Danish style, and treat yourself to a sunday lunch.
The building is absolute charming and the food served is authentic and very tasty. Looks like most of the food is actually made on the premises and even the traditional rye bread is home made.
It is also not pricey at all.
If you want to experience the Danish 'hygge', this is a good place to get a glimpse of it.

After some days in not very good restaurants ( we are Italians and quite spoiled about food) we ended up in this small café and we had a great surprise! We were eight of us, with kids, and each of us enjoyed the food. They have great salads, with a perfect combination of different ingredients; portions are big. Price is good for what they give you. We really recommend to go.

I have been visiting the restaurant several times, and you always feel that you are welcome and that they are happy to see you.
You quickly notice that goes for all the guest.
Here you will see families dines because they don't want to spend time in the kitchen that day, or just couples that want to celebrate that special day, or even groups that celebrate a round birthday.
The rooms are not that big, but you never feel that's all too crowded or noisy. Yes - you will experience kids running around because they just can't sit any more, but I have never experienced screaming and crying kids. I guess that this is because the staff are used to handle this and the parents are relaxed and enjoy the day out.
You can have a'la carte, but most just picks the buffet. It's is fresh and is regular updated.
The prices are very reasonable. Even the drinks are not overpriced as you often experience when the food is in the low cost range.
If you want something special and you don't find it on the menu card, then just ask. Yudan - the owner - will try to find a solution.
I look forward to my next visit

First and foremost, it is important to point out that we have a new modern restaurant that always need to adapt to your wishes and needs. Moreover, we have one of Frederikssund best locations with view over the harbor. We wish, you see us as a nice family restaurant, which can be a bit of everything. There must be room for families and companies, but also for business dinners, conferences and a romantic 3-course dinner. We strive for that service must be the key word in our restaurant. The experience must begin at the door when you as a guest encounters a smiling waiters and not only when you taste the food. We make everything from scratch and have a sense of detail. Whether you are young or older - and whether you should throw a party, reception or course we always have room for you :-)
Today we had what we in danish call a 'loevemad' (lions bite) or in english 'tartar with egg' in this nice restaurant and enjoyed it with a perfect view to the harbour where volunteers were making a copy of a vikingship ready for the summer...MoreDear Danexplorer, Thank you for your kind words. We are happy about your experience with us. And we hope to welcome you next time you visit Denmark. Cecilie

I have been to Huang Cheng several times (both at the old and the new locations) and I have also tried their take away in many occasions.
The take away is very effective. If they tell you it will be ready in 10 min, you bet it will be ready in 10 min.
Their buffet including mongolian barbecue is OK - average, I'd say.
Personally I prefer their à la carte dishes.
They also have sushi and ice cream buffet, but I cannot comment on those. In the new location, the sushi buffet has really been improved and now they have a running sushi system. It looks really appetizing, although it makes me wonder how fresh those dishes really are and for how long they've been circulating.
The service is usually corteous and the restaurant looks reasonably clean.
All in all it is an ok restaurant if you are looking for a cheap meal.

This place has much to offer even before you have had your food.
If weather allows it you should start your dinner with a drink on the Terrace.
The food is exelent and staff is very friendly.
Only little negative I can come up with is I find the wine a bit pricey.
We can recommend this place if you are in the area.

Ganløse Kro, much more than food. Ganløse Kro is a cozy and intimate inn with a great atmosphere, with a personal and popular danish kitchen.
We have allmost started a tradition going to Ganløse kro for there summer show. The food is fine not excellent but nice and the show has always been fantastic. We will visit again.
