Absolutely wonderful

Ilona is a wonderful host and this B&B shows this. The rooms are beautifully clean and simple and the terrace and restaurant are a really lovely place for dinner or breakfast. We almost ate in the centre of town but are really pleased we changed our mind and ate here. Really excellent Hungarian dishes, wines and atmosphere. I'm not sure I'll ever be back in Siófok, but if I am it'll be to just go here for dinner and a night's rest.

End of Holiday...

Reviewed By Vasile V

This is my second stay at the hotel. The first one went ok, just a bit noisy for my taste, but the conditions were top of the line. Now on my second stay however.... it's a whole other story. So, here we are, me and my partner, after a drive of 5 hours, sweaty and smelly... We arrive at the hotel, we do our check in and go up into the room. There we unpack and half and hour later we wanna take each a shower... But then surprise... The hot water is not working... I went down to the reception, and asked politely what's going on. The lady, on a most respectful tone told me that this problem will be solved in about 2hours and to please forgive them for this inconvenience... I was understanding, and I know that they do not cut off the hot water on purpose. While we were waiting, we thought, hey, it would be great to watch something on the laptop. We tried connecting to the Wi-Fi... But what do you know, we were outside the Wi-Fi range... We had signal only on the balcony... I signaled this to the nice lady from the reception, she just shrugged her shoulders at me and told me that there is nothing she can do...But we managed to watch something on the balcony, we made it a little picnic. So here we are at 11 PM, no hot water still... No WiFi in the room... So we made a quick cold shower and figured we will take a long one in the morning... The next day we wake up, it's around 7 AM ... I go into the shower, with full confidence that the situation was solved... And SURPRISE... The water was colder than last night... Obviously this made me angry and as such I first tried calling the reception... No answer... I went downstairs and the mister, this time, was outside enjoying his coffee and smoking... I said once again that there is no hot water, he went and "fixed it" and told me that the situation will be solved in 10-15 mins... We gave it 30 mins, just to be on the safe side... The water was still cold... I was furious at this point... It has been over 12 hours since we signaled the issue and still no hot water... Upon my last trip downstairs, because no one bothers to answer the phone from reception... I was greyed by an older man, who told that in max 30 mins the situation will be fix and we will have hot water... Now it's almost 10 AM, we have to leave because we have booked this room for 1 night only... And still no hot water So, bottom line. If everything works and nothing breaks down, the hotel is quite nice, with a great view, a bit noisy since it's surrounded by Bars. God forbid something happens because they take forever to fix the problem, and if you are on tight schedule and just wanted a night in a warm bed and a hot shower... Then be prepared for the worst and I mean the worst intervention and help that you can receive. This is the last time that we will be coming to this hotel.

Absolutely no go

Where rudeness ruins elegance ? Never ever again! And I highly recommend to avoid it, if you don't like to be harrassed, especially during holidays. Due to the owner's absolute ignoramus, she started to talk to us with an unaccapteble tone, calling us repeatedly and threaten with calling the police. That was so abszurd.

Villa Campana B&B

The Villa Campana is located in Siófok on Köztársaság street. It is near to the golden beach and is surrounded by trees from the turn of the 19th century. The Villa was built as a holiday home at the end of the 19th century for an upper-class family from Budapest. During the last more than 100 years it has had numerous owners. After 1947 during the socialist years in it was used as a guest-house and continued as a guest house until 2003. We were able amongst other things to restore the windows and doors in their original style. Since its renovation the villa has regained its peaceful atmosphere. This is while still providing the modern conforts to satisfy even the most demanding people. In the villa there are 9 spacious rooms for high demands with extra bath, colour-TV, ISDN-telephone, unlimited Internet-access and refrigerator. The rooms can be provided with an additional bed. Three rooms are suitable for families with 2 adults and 2 children. Some of the rooms have a considerable big balcony. On the ground floor next to the reception an impressively equipped saloon is waiting for its guests where they can spend nice evenings in the atmosphere of the beginning of the 20th century. In our own garden we ensure free of cost a secure and closed parking space for the cars of our guests.

Good villa, rude staff

Reviewed By Torinobaba89

We booked this hotel only on the same day of the arrival. Our room was very quiet and clean. We had a big balcony facing to the garden. The place has a big parking place and the hotel is near to the railway station and to the lake. The breakfast place is approx 10 min walk from this villa in an other one (called Jókai Villa) but it was included in our price. The only negative this was the staff at the reception. When I booked on booking.com it was written that we can pay by credit card (I also checked this info on the website) but the lady said it is not possible because we stay in other villa not the main (Jókai)... She was very rude and unhelpful. During breakfast she was talking with the waitress from the breakfast so we needed to ask everything one by one (bread, eggs, juice, tea). The breakfast place was full but they just talking and talking in the reception about theire childs...Sorry but I paid for this service and there was no service ever, even bad one.. Because of them I do not want to go back to this place.

Not for families

I was there in july 2016 wita wife and 4years Old son. Room was very clean, staff very friendly. Main problem is that object is very close to train station. Trains drive in nights and we had huge problems with sleep. Object is very good for party People. It's terrible for families with children and ideal for party people (very close to center of siofok). In object is kitchen - you can do meals yourself (there isn't restaurant).
